@thereallyst incorrect still. Darkman was the first R Rated comic movie, not Blade. Darkman was released in 1990 while Blade was released in 1998.

@@Whoo_Boy I was going off of the start of what was considered to be the beginning of what saved Marvel. Darkman at best is a C level hero. Nobody remembers him. I forgot myself. You're correct that Darkman came first, but Blade actually used it's MPAA rating to it's advantage. If we just go by the absolute first, you are still incorrect. I believe the first, if I remember correctly was Dolph Lundren in The Punisher, 1989...
