Thanks for the video. I have a P-44 with a Seymour Jazz and JB and love it. Very versatile, sounds great and easy to play. My LP hasn't seen a lot of playing time since I got this gem.

Dave, luv your vids! My solution for trem spring noise is rolling tobacco filters. They come in 2 or 3 different widths and work perfectly!

@davey4557 Hey davey, I just bought a few Parkers and I am not sure about the P44 but I would guess it has the Carbon fiber fret board. If it does which most parkers do they say in the manual NOT to add oil but to use a lightly moist rag just a dab of water on it and thats it for neck cleaning. Just thought I would let you know, I doubt that little oil would ever do anything negative. Happy new year.

Wow, I thought that dirty switch would be like a wiring issue or something. Good job man. Thanks for that. You do good work. Hey how does that bridge lock its tuning? Its not your average floyd rose tremelo with the locking nut. Cheers from canada, sry bout the 8 string bullshit.
@anthonychrismignella9 жыл бұрын
Are they locking machine heads or something? Ive seen those more and more recently.

Hi Davey, quick question for you just got a guitar with an ebony fretboard do you still oil them like Rosewood one?
@willeng8413 жыл бұрын
@dcalde78 use the edge of the plastic/credit card to scrape the majority off, after it starts coming off it will come up with the rag and oil, don't use too much oil either just a little goes along way, I know rosewood drinks it up but ebony is harder so go light.

I recently did some work on an old 80's Yamahahaha! It had enough DNA on the fret board I could've cloned the guy!

I bought a guitar from a friend that needed a WICKED cleanup. I've had it for a month and the fretboard is still a tad bit grimy. It's doable however. It'll come off eventually.

@dcalde78 Hey man, I have been doing this stuff for years. I regularly use steel wool but HATE it for cleaning a fretboard. I use it for polishing frets between fret jobs and after. For rosewood necks I use some lemon oil fretboard cleaner/conditioner it says you can use it for maple fret boards too but I wouldn't. I understand lighter fluid works but I dont like chemicals on wood. Either way get fret board cleaner or just use a lightly and I mean lightly dampened cotton rag and use elbow grease

@dcalde78 I play guitar constantly, like hours and hours and hours and days and days, I get paid to play/repair/record/lightly mod tube amps. I have to play hours a day now and I play with elixers so I should have some goo build up but I never do and I give my friends hell that let it get that bad. Trust me with a credit card and your fingers with a rag and oil you will get it off. Everytime you change your strings clean around the frets and give the board a quick wipe, wont happen again.
