Hi Geo. Great shave, with a Shavette this time. I have a Feather Artist Club SS (folding type). Love the Shavette's. Take care Geo.

How would the adjustable shavette even work? With shavettes, the only thing controlling the aggressiveness is you. Bigger blade exposure would only make the blade more unstable, so you cut yourself more easily (like Geo did). Or am I wrong?

Thinking the same thing myself.

If you check the feather artist webpage you will find pics where they show the shavette have lips that protects the skin a little bit, if that's the case with this razor, it can help, yet you're still right, the user's hand use the major factor.

Geo💈🪒 Dang! I saw some blood on Geo, Quick, wipe it up, it's liquid gold... Thanks for the review Geo, I've been looking into a Shavette for shaping up my Vandyke. I've been going rogue using just a DE razor leaving some stubble around the edges that I can't get perfectly shaped. I'm looking at a Feather but there are many choices. Great video sir. See ya next time.

Great shave Geo Could you do an all Indian shave one of these days. Some recommendations as below: Parker 78R/ 99R Gillette Wilkinson sword Indian/ Gillette 7oClock Black Parker synthetic (not sure if it is completely made in India) Parker sandalwood shaving soap And I checked the shave nation website and could not find an aftershave made in India.

Yikes! 3:35 tapping on the blade edge like that will fold the edge over. You are very brave! I wouldn't dare shave with that thing :)

I have a Chinese copy of the feather artist, one that uses the common half de blades, I use my finger tip ever so carefully because I don't want to damage the blade that kiss my over sensitive skin.

Hi Geo. What's your thoughts on how this compares to the tomb45 3 way razor? Both are a similar concept. I own several shavettes but not a Parker yet..

Hey Geo, I shave first with a Muhle r41 and then I will finish my shaving with a Merkur 34c. Is it Ok to use this combination for long? My main reason is that I can finish shaving in two rounds perfectly. I shave every 4 to 5 days.

Thanks for the info on this. I just got one and have not unboxed it. In the video it's hard to see what type of angle you are using. Could you explain? Thanks bro !

I have to ask: why? Why three inserts when the standard is at least six clicks (or 3x2 plates) or 1-9 spots on a dial?

I've been a big fan of yours for a few years Geo. Love your demeanour and attitude. You try to be as impartial as you can when using products. I have to say, IMO, that razor looks like a PITA to use. Tapping blades, risk of cutting your hand, changing holders.................... Ugh.

Nice video but I can't get my head around why anyone would want to use a straight razor in this day and age? I have to admit they do look fascinating. But I think I will stick with the double edge. Off the top of your head, how many straight razors would you sell in a financial year? Cheers
@jj00100 Жыл бұрын
no matter what, a shavette will always get you a closer shave. because you have full control of the angle of the blade. no safety razor can do that. multi blades cut under the skin which is bad. and electric is nice but its not BBS. i think thats why... also you control the pressure and you can choose the aggressiveness of the shave. obviously that means this is a learning curve and maybe cutting yourself if not careful.. but i literally watched a few videos ,bought a good brand, popped a astra in, and i did nick myself 2x, but after that i was good and my skin be looking great lol. and i dont even do all that lather and hot towel like that lol. (i have feather but i dont think im that confident yet like geo... those are aggressive blades and a shavette can be aggresive so yikes lol) i have my andis clipper and trimmers.. but i really enjoy the shavette. it is BBS and cooler than a safety razor for sure, and i just started a few months ago lol.

Is it good to shave head with a shavette ?
@annubiussn5998 Жыл бұрын
No offense Geo, but if you push a blade with something hard like that, it will probably damage the edge.

Hi Geo What is in your opinion the most agressive/best Merkur razor?
@wolfgang262738 ай бұрын
The two adjustables from Merkur (Progress and Futur) are both very good and both are also very abrasive (aggressive) at higher settings. Furthermore, the 37c slant razor (or 39c longer version) is also very abrasive (aggressive). It also copes well with a 5-day beard. With all these razors, however, you need a good shaving technique and practice. Because nothing comes from nothing.
