Just a reminder that Hifonics went out of business around 2000. The name was purchased by Maxxsonics in 2001. So it's not the well known, high quality brand we remember. Nowadays it's the Hifonics name on generic audio gear. The current quality is hit and miss. Certain model amps and subs are pretty well-built, while others are not.

The 2001-2007 Toyota sequoias have a VERY VERY common problem with the rear hatch. They don’t open on all the cars. So to fix this you need to go online and buy the bypass kit. Look it up on KZbin. It’s a simple peace that you install and makes it so you can open your door every time. And lock it. Hope this helps

Reverse wiring subwoofer coils is easy to do, especially since some manufacturers mislabel their own leads if they label them at all. Wired in reverse means the coils fight against each other with no movement for cooling. Almost zero sound will come from the sub and if you turn it up, you can easily overheat the coil glue. We’ve all done it at least once lol keep banging! 🔊
@RyanBassForLife8 ай бұрын
I inverted my subwoofers and my subwoofer wires are reverse. I think what he did is put positive and negative on one coil then on the other coil reversed the wiring so he probably wire negative on positive positive on negative. Then the other side of his subwoofer positive on positive and negative correctly. Just remember when you invert a subwoofer you reverse every wire not just half the wired. So if anyone is actually reading this and wires positive in one coil and negative on the other coil just make sure you do the same on your other side of your subwoofer if your parallel wiring.

The test wasn't how you do the other test cuz you had the speaker just pretty much inverted in the box. So it had the pressure from the box so essentially it was in the Box just inverted even though no screws in it but it still creates that pressure and that doesn't make the test is valid,that being said it's still lasted to 6 minutes at the RMS wattage which was impressive

Those things happen. I took my sweet time hooking up my 4 channel and monoblock. Because Orion XTR750.4 has the pos & ground reversed from what everyone else does for the most part. I made the mistake of having them switched. Went thru quite a few 40amo fuses till I found the problem. Had thought my bus bar was the problem as the positive and ground are on the same bar, just separated by a little bit of plastic, but nope. I felr pretty noobish. But in fairless, I waited till my daughter became a teenager before purchasing another system. That's 13 years from when I was in competitions and custom installing systems for all my friends and their friends and so on.

@95Sn958 ай бұрын
Imo opinion the "$200" sub category is the best value and most should pick from that level of sub, XFL,XR,VCW,T5,BDC4 apparently the Brutis, $200 typically gets you a 1000-1500wrms sub with a 3" coil and around a 200oz motor and that's a sub that will cover most of the bases. There affordable enough most can afford a couple and 2 is more than sufficient to get really loud on not much power either just a 1200wrms amp will push 2 nicely. and you can just keep tossing 2 more at it as you come into a couple bucks. 4 $200 subs will out perform 2 "big boy" subs of the same size period and you have 4 subs for half the price of just 2, besides when their in the box you can't tell how big or not big the motor is... Only thing you have to plan out ahead of time is the subs impedance, you gotta stick with the one you started with so 2 subs will have a different final than 4 that may be an issue start with 2 D4s with final of 1ohm add 2 more D4s and your option is 2 or 1/2 ohm. If half isn't a problem rock on win win. Same scenario starting with D2 just different impedances. You also have that same issue with singles. My advice is if you absolutely are going to expand with more of same sub start with the less desirable impedance like 2 first so that when you add 2 more your at the more desired impedance of 1, and doubling your subs is when you need a bit more available wattage available. If you can go . 5 well you definitely have way more options. Another way to do it if you have a small cheaper amp is everytime you buy 2 more subs buy the same amp again, cheap amp 2 subs, cheap amp 2 subs n so on untill you run outa room or money! and just gain match em. When shopping for an amp Imo always look at half ohm stable amps initially but most good even chinese "1ohm stable" half bridge amps will take a . 5 dynamic load besides who drives around listening to a 40htz tone. Both my cab45 and my AP apcle1800.1 have been wired at . 5 for about a year now without any issues. Do what so many don't do and do your research before buying anything and mean research lots of it and not just read amazon reviews n buy it. you will be glad you did. But anyway nice li'll sub lol.
