Yeah it’s a slim fit. Try Gap’s skinny fit and you can also get them tailored for like $12-$15

I still don't know the difference between chinos and trousers. Every source just says trousers are more formal but doesn't actually tell me the difference.

The difference is the material most chinos are made of cotten.

Material and weight. Chinos tend to be made of cotton blends while trousers are made of wool or wool blends. This gives them a different look and feel.
