MrPureSin After 3;25 in the video It shows the self adjuster and twisting the adjust slide to get right of the slack when installing the new parking brake shoe. At 3:32 in the video it shows after installing the small bolt holding the parking brake shoe while adjusting the self adjuster getting rid of any slack. Sorry for the confusion.

whoa wait- i think there is a final step missing. what do you do with the thumb screw adjuster once the shoe is on? just leave it where it is? tighten it? loosen it? where does it go?

What size rear rotors do I need for 2001 4x4, Tahoe with 5.3 ?? 325 mm or 330 mm? They are dual piston calipers....right??

Good video, thanks for sharing. Got a 03' Yukon, driver's side feels good, can't move it w/ hands w/ brake on, but passenger's side still slips just a little in both directions. Ever seen that before? - thanks

Thanks so much for watching! I would check the rubber brake flex hoses (the hoses that connect to the caliper). I would actually just replace both of them due to how old the truck is. 17 Year old rubber breaks down easy and brakes are something you don't want to take chances on.

My 2006 suburban has 2 parking brake holders per side.... not like any of the videos I have watched with one opposite of the actuator

I know I just put new shoes on the parking brake, and adjusted all the way down and still rubs rotor slightly, I assume it is because they are new maybe

Sounds like you need to adjust the self adjuster. So they do not touch the rotor when it is not engaged.

That's what I was thinking, but I apply my parking brake and it still doesn't hold the truck all that well. Which would make me think, it needs to be adjusted out tighter.

Why 200-2013? Chev/Gmc trucks had drum brakes 2005-2013, except some Escalades/Denalis
