About 6 years ago I decided to get into off-road/enduro riding.... I was immediately hooked and its become the primary riding I do. The slow speed balance, clutch, throttle and brake control skills I had to develop for off-road translated to a whole new level of control on any bike I rode. So if these drills and practice bore or don't excite a rider they can get a dirt bike and some bruises 😎

Absolutely agree. It have given me the confidence to ride any type of bike I attempted to ride to date. I just enjoy riding anything I could get my hands on. They is a lot more to learn and I am on board. Love these drills. Thanks for watching.

You are so right Richard. Be the boss of your motorcycle. Aka: Robert Simmons. Slow speed parking lot practice is cheap and easy to do. All that is needed is for a rider to “want” to do it. To be better. You are demonstrating very nicely using a clutch. For many with a DCT, these skills are a bit more challenging. Ride Like a Pro Jerry Paladino just today released a video featuring a rider about our ages using his DCT like a pro. All these skills came to him just like you are demonstrating here. Practice. Thank you for representing excellent attitude and safe motorcycling. Great job.

I saw that video and interview. Also met one of the Reps in Daytona at the Demo Ride that displayed some amazing skills on his DCT. He had it posted on Facebook, made it all look so easy. All that is required is a little time and dedication. Thanks again RG for watching. Ride safe.

@@Gorealaracer38 your opinion. We all have one. The information that was shared with me after being away from what can be a dangerous hobby and the lost of close friends is to receive training. That came from an officer that didn’t benefit from sharing that. Glad you have never had to rely on controlling your bike at slow speeds. I have heard from many that share those sentiments. Not at all mad with you but respectfully disagree. Thanks for sharing. Ride safe.

Rich, you do a great job explaining what and why, then go show how nimble the Goldwing is. I’ll try your method of getting out at 7AM. It’s too hot and humid to fully concentrate by 9AM here.
@richthereturnrider67375 ай бұрын
@@tim_g3478 yeah! Probably not the best time of the year to be doing it but when I travel to these practices I am up way earlier than that. I was gone by 10am. Go for it Tim. Plan it out the night before so setting up and packing up is quick. The multipurpose Goldwing is nimble. Thanks for watching .

Hey Rich. I’m about to buy one of the new Goldwings. I love doing the slow speed maneuvers, did a bunch with my 2010. I am worried about dropping the new version without the added crash bars like you have in yours. I’ve watched several of your videos about the bars…..
@richthereturnrider67375 ай бұрын
The bars aren’t the most appealing but for me they have done the trick. Thanks for watching.
@Motoramblings5 ай бұрын
Do you feel like you lost any lean angle when you added the crash bars?
@richthereturnrider67375 ай бұрын
Absolutely but I am not an aggressive enough rider in the twisties for it to matter. In my video Battle OF The Goldwings I dropped the bike and you can see how low the bike got on the bars. You still get plenty of lean angle.
