I noticed a few episodes ago that you deleted the reverse beeper. That's smart because you can clearly see when you go in reverse and you don't give everyone a loud indication you are coming. Good job quickly repairing that winch. Was the cable of the winch skipping from having loose cable on the last vehicle? Because it seemed to skip a few times.

That is illegal what he did. A commercial vehicle that is classified as a truck is by federal law to have back up sound to let people know it' is backing up. Any mistakes reversing and he is automatically liable to pay . But the better question is why would there be a need to "SNEAK IN REVERSE" if you're there tow a car when your company that you tow for has been authorized to do so. That is the better question don't you think???????

Still can't get over how nice even the roughest areas complexs are compared to the equivalent here in the UK. A lot of our council estates (local government housing) look like the film set of a walking dead episode.

@@armstronggeorge1533 Most of our Council Houses were sold off to Private Housing Associations so they didn't have to maintain them anymore. We have Estates that are comparable to your projects but these tend to be inner city or stuck out in Satellite areas around them.

I’ll tell you what’s wrong with the cable. It’s a rat nest. Crossed over itself to many times. That’s what happens when the roller guides and tension plate wear out. Also when you don’t direct the cable with 2 snatch blocks…one for the pull angle and one to keep it straight on the drum.

Regarding your winch cable; it needs to be unspooled and respooled on a regular basis to avoid the situation that caused the binding issue. I am surprised that the company you work for doesn't do it regularly... i.e., every few months or so.

Proper wire rope maintenance is critical to safety. Cable should lay neatly in rows no birds nest and no flat spots or crushed sections. I run two blocks to send the line in straight
