Parkinson's & A History Of Walking

After I was diagnosed with Parkinson's and before I began taking Carbidopa/Levodopa I watched a guy cross the cross walk and was amazed how much we take walking for granted. He walked and didn't need to think about it, I was mesmerized. Now with Parkinson's I think about walking all of the time. It's an obsession and lucky for me I found a beautiful book titled "Wanderlust - A History of Walking" By Rebecca Solnit.
It's beyond good and I am in love with this book and thankful for every moment I can walk. Walking is something sacred, like breathing, swallowing, it's one of those things we just do, until we no longer can or struggle to do what we always could....and then we understand what a gift and treasure it is.
