this video is the reason why I started parkour. I have been training for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier.i had concerns but I never realized how much criticism. I think if there's one thing all freerunners can relate to is that it's hard to live in a world full of conformists. parkour and freerunning has truly changed me.im not afraid of getting hurt because I now understand my body and it's limits. if anything,I'm only afraid of getting injured because that means I won't be able t of train. what do I get out of parkour though? I don't believe I can fly anymore, I know I can.

Thank you for creating a documentary about parkour. I feel like most people don't understand what I do as a traceur. They see it as disrespectful or reckless, when really it is quite the opposite. It's a culmination of both the mind and the body at work and an expression of creativity and skill. It's an art that should be appreciated, and this video is helping people to do just that.

Two of my favorite things... the art of motion and the burn. Thank you I needed this on a rainy ass portland day. It is in the moment that we become free, pushing your metal and physical self to overcome is a path to freedom. This is part of a full life, My wife loves dance and zumba, she moves everyday, my daughter is following in her foot steps. I just move, from martial arts to parkour I have never let go of the child's heart that comes in physical play, my son is following in my foot steps.

Neeranjan Max I stopped caring about what people thought about me out of anger that people live an insane boring life. So I said piss off to them and just ran. I fell, got tired, but then got back up and still kept on going. It's funny because this saying helps put exactly what I'm trying to say into full perspective: "If you want a thing bad enough to go out and fight for it, to work day and night for it, to give up your time, your peace and your sleep for it, if all that you dream and scheme is about it, and life seems useless and worthless without it, and if you gladly sweat for it and fret for it and plan for it, and lose all your terror of the opposition for it, and if you simply go after that thing that you want, with all of your capacity, strength and sagacity, faith, hope and confidence, and stern pertinacity, if neither cold poverty, famish, or gout, sickness or pain of body and brain, can keep you away from the thing that you want, if dogged and grim you beseech and beset it, with the help of God you will get it!" - Les Brown

This is... kind of perfect film about defining what is Parkour. Every virtues about the art of movement are extremely well explained. It's not only a documetary about Parkour, but also a way to re set who we are. I love the way this documentary explains how parkour practicers are feeling and getting free of their movement by practicing Parkour. It explains very well this kind of "missing feeling" of life, wich is being free of our movements. This documentary is absolutely consonant with the way I feel when practicing Parkour. This is really perfect. Thanks for this perfect documentary

listening to the little speech starting at around 31:30 really is one of the big reasons why parkour/freerunning but maybe even more tricking is so important to me. everyone may be at a different level of skill. but contrary to sports like football or basketball, you don't have to separate them into different teams. everyone is on one level with each other mentally. this is a great movie. absolutely loving it!!!

You need to train the basics in the beginning very hard
@oOillogiXOo10 жыл бұрын
One of the most important things is to take it slow in the beginning. Don't try jumps or tricks that you don't think you can do. Build up to the difficult ones and stop the trick immediately if it feels overly uncomfortable. Try and balance strength and technique during your overall training. If possible, find people that will train with you. It makes it a lot more fun. :)

SlickRick4EVER The difference between Parkour and Freerunning is that Parkour focuses more on the actual efficiency of movement when traversing obstacles where as freerunning is more involved with self expression through tricks and flips. A lot of videos on KZbin have trouble REALLY describing the attitude of Parkour/Freerunning. A few flashy stunts and that's a wrap. But this documentary captures the philosophy, the most important thing in my opinion, about Parkour. Anyone can want to improve, but Parkour makes it happen through the most efficient way possible: conquering physical and mental obstacles. Dedicated practitioners really appreciated the message, and newer members are motivated. Thank you for this project!

After watching this video, I never saw i building the same way again. Before I just looked at them as somewhere to enter and carry about your business. Now I notice all of the places where it would be perfect to climb on top of.

Haven't been to this video In a while, It's a real inspiration. Every time parkour gets even a little confusing to me I come and watch this. I think I might download It.

such an inspirational film. im 13 years old and was looking forward to doing Parkour. I was afraid to do some of the most simplest of things in Parkour, now that I have watched this video i have noticed that life itself is a fear to most but conquering it can be a great thing. Thank you for making this documentery for the people of the world to watch.
