Taught exclusively by Stephane Vigroux, Dan Edwardes, Forrest, Chris Keighley, Kazuma and Johann Vigroux, the indoor classes in London are offered as a supplement to the outdoor parkour training and focus largely on developing the physical attributes and functional strength and fitness necessary for parkour. Open to all, regardless of ability or experience, these classes are a great way to learn about your movement potential in a disciplined yet friendly environment. For more details and class times/locations see www.parkourgenerations.com'

this is absolute gold: The thing that makes parkour special is it's open disregard of fear. it's not particularly "technical", it's 99% balls and 1% technique/atheticism. hysterical to watch these bunch of nancies practicing such an extreme sport under such pathetically safe conditions. the hardest part of parkour is not jumping or running or catching a ledge; its throwing yourself over huge heights, braving a horrible death with each step.

Parkour, like a martial art, is mastered over time and with great effort. You don't begin to learn wushu by practicing high kicks. You begin with the basics, the stance. The same is true for parkour. Of course, sometimes it's just fun to take what you know and jump around. It builds creativity and helps develop better vision for how to move through your environment. The traceurs in this video are amazing. I wish they could do more events in America.

Oh yeah definitely! I agree with you! I have tried some of the conditioning drills for parkour and boy it's tough as I am unfit and overweight so now I'm training hard to lose weight, get fit and then start on parkour seriously.

The conditioning techniques especially some of Forrests are inspired. I'd love to see an instructional video of all those and perhaps an insight into their conditioning principles.

You got the right idea. The whole philosophy is that there are no obstacles in your path. Its all a straight line. Its like that matrix thing "there is no wall."

I think this stuff helps more than ppl would like to think, sure, it's not that much parkour they do, but they learn techniques and excersises (spellboy?), which will help them learn "real" parkour easier. And like Kirkando said - gotta crawl before you walk!

Well i practice parkour, at begining i tought the same as you "easy" just jumping aroung, but not , you need to know at what part to jump, the angle of your body, where to hit so that you dont get injured, its a sport of body and mind, its not for being the best if for improving your perfomance, in spanish the "slogan" of parkour is "Ser y Durar" that means "Be and Long"

@sk8wise12 You have a point, however their intentions are to teach safe ways of training, instead of going "Go out and express yourself" and end up with a bunch of kids with messed uup knees and broken bones. it gives them a starting point and basic moves to work with. Its like giving paint to a painter. Painters paint in order to express themselves, but they still need the paint in order to do it effectively.

The main target in parkour is to learn how to get from point A to B as fast as you can by passing obstacles in the right ways, and practicing parkour in an indoor academy is just ridiculous! If you really wanna learn, just go outside! And i'm not talking about acrobatics, which is ok to practice in a safe place. There's a big difference between parkour and freerunning.

haha who -1'd your guys' comments? I'm truly glad that you guys are training at such young ages. However make sure you can hold your full body weight + 20 lbs on all limbs. And make sure you vary strength training with parkour training. Think of the area as not only an obstacle but as a guiding force that pulls you through. This will help what we Tracers (americanized Traceur/Traceuess) call 'Vision' the ability to see an obstacle and know exactly how to get over it. Train hard ~Saint Nick
