Hi Andrew, Henry here, you have a monster rarity there, a genuine Stereo widespine PATENTS PENDING SLEEVE - up until now i have always doubted it's existence, I knew as soon as you said the disc had the single letter stampers it would almost certainly be in a widespine cover but i never expected to see that !!!

@@Parlogram the print on the rear cover looks very bold too, i know these can vary & cameras can lie particularly on red backgrounds but it looks far bolder than usual, resembling more a German rear as far as the print is concerned . !! There were a lot of very very nice items in there but this was the standout for me by a million miles, the other one that stood out for rarity but not for value was the 68/9 early Stones unboxed mono without the ridged labels, they are rarely seen whereas you do see the far more valuable complete Exile, Sticky. laminated Tommy & of course, My Generation.

Well,thanks to you young Master Andrew i remembered how to be young again,and optimistic. Cheers to you. What i saw yesterday,where many records with scratches,but being young and optimistic,not old,sick and grumpy like me,you got it in a better way. But i love records too,especially Beatles ones,buy them in numbers..but i don' t sell them. Keep them for next generation.Nice video,like it more when i see sleeves.

A friend of mine told me his mother has original Beatles LP's she had bought in the 60's when a little girl and big Beatles fan. He finally showed me, as I was intrigued. They were early 60's issues, 5 or 6, in all in an LP box. They were in a very poor state! Many other originals too in bad state.

If the Beatles Rock 'N Roll Music album's cover is anything like the US version - it has - or at least had when new - a unique smell all it's own. Still have mine I bought when it first came out.

Is there ANY copy of the Let It Be book that doesn't come apart at the seams ?! Let's hope the one being released in October has been through quality control. Splitting the 2 videos ...covers/vinyl .. still works well. Thoroughly enjoyable to watch both 👍

Very nice collection. That previous owner had exceptional taste in music. If alcohol does not clean those white flip backs, Clorox on a q-tip will. As will lighter fluid on that tape residue from those nasty front stickers. Carnauba wax the laminate and they will look like new. Looks like a lot of work. Then again it will be a labor of love. Cheers.

Clorox is a us brand not sold in the uk! But Clorox is just a brand name for bleach. Exactly the same as any other bleach available for sale.

I remember Our Price! But the main thing I learned from the video is this: There are TWO types of IPA. One is a beer, the other is a chemical you can use for cleaning record sleeves. Probably don't want to confuse them... 😨 Thanks for sharing the unboxing with us, Andrew! 😀

Very Fun!! The Hollyridge Strings records are basically "Easy Listening" versions of popular songs at the time. They released a lot of these albums in the States covering everything from The Supremes to the Beach Boys. I call the music "Elevator Music". You always heard these renditions in elevators, doctor offices, department stores, etc. I think they're a lot of fun...but I'm sure a lot of people would consider them ghastly. LOL! I would really love to hear that George Martin album. His instrumental covers are a lot more fun compared to the Hollyridge Strings. I really enjoyed both videos. Thank you for sharing with us!

I guess the Let It Be book wouldn't be in such poor condition if the box was still there. Still, apart from the smell you mentioned and the wear marks I didn't see it cracked open in the spine. So that's good! Should I be ashamed of never been aware of the George Martin orchestra records? I guess yes, cause I bet they're awesome...

Great video Andrew. Interesting seeing those nice records covers. It was bizarre that the covers and records were sent in seperate parcels. What would have happened had one or the other parcel gone missing in the post? I thought it strange that George Martin's "Help!" LP appeared on Columbia and not Parlophone. I wonder why that was? Thanks Peter. I was holding my breath for the second box. George Martin on Columbia is interesting, especially as 'Off The Beatle Track' was on Parlophone. It certainly warrants further investigation.

@@Parlogram it occurred to me that I'd read that apparently Sir George left Parlophone after a dispute with EMI in the mid-60's(?). Not wanting to break up a winning team, EMI then contracted him to produce The Beatles. I'm not sure how long after that he setup AIR Studios. So maybe at this point, this might explain his appearance on Columbia. Cheers mate 👍😎

All German EMI records (except for contract pressings) were manufactured at Electrola in Cologne. That goes for the Odeon label, the EMI releases on HörZu label, the German Apple label...

Please do a cleaning of the covers video.(vinyl too) I’d like to see your method. Maybe you can do these that you just got. I volunteer at our local record store here in central TX. I clean the vinyl and covers and the owner grades and prices them.✌️
