My wife of 34 years Brenda Lee Veinot passed on June 8 , 2024. The next day Sunday June 9th , I was driving to my brothers to continue the tough grieving process. I ask Brenda Lee to give me a sign that I will be ok. I turned on my local radio station and this started playing. The KZbin video "Gonna Love You" was posted Nov 25 ,2023...5 days after her birthday and when she started feeling sick . Brenda Lee had lung , and several abdomen cancers .( The band member had gunshot wounds, chest and abdomen ) The single came from " For You 2 " ( as if she was saying it was for us ) The name " Parmalee is so close to my wife's name Brenda Lee . I was so shocked and emotional and will never forget this song as it is now a reminder of the love I had for my wife. I love you ..and will miss you ....

Amazing as always. I am just seeing the full video and it still brings tears to my eyes. Remembering the heartbreak and all of the tension as well as the shock of finding out. Sitting in the hospital not sure if Scott was going to make it is something that was hard for even me so I can't imagine how hard it was for Matt, his cousin Barry, their good friend and honorary brother Josh or his family and closest friends. So many of us were praying and asking God to heal Scott. There's no doubt that God placed his hands on and healed him. The Good Lord keeps His promises. It is said that where 2 or more are gathered together in prayer their prayers will be answered. There were definitely alot of people gathered together praying. You are truly blessed and a miracle, Scott Thomas and have the friendship and love of so many that most can only dream of. GOD wasn't ready for you yet. He made you a testimony of His promises and love for all the world to see. YOU are definitely a Miracle Man.

Today is August 14 2024 and there is so much distance in my relationships my family and my own desires decisions and disorderly delusions that I have let my blessing of my children my better half my four children and sister brother and mom dad and family and the ones that helped me through times I didn't think I could make it, I've just let alot of my own turmoil grief pitiful selfish depression and anxiety, in other words the devil made way into my life and my reality with God and my faith has become spoken, I teeter tot on my fears PTSD and emotions from past experience mistakes and wrong doings that the blessing of coming out or going into this dark coma nightmare or tragedy waiting to happen has me so hurt so confused and barely trusting god and it's making me sick. I would not and wont ask God to forgive me until I am completely surrendered to what I know in my heart and what I've always lived by. Fear has taught me so much of what others are going through and experiencing and questioning it only makes me believe that I am worth more than what I can hear see and feel. Faith touches you when you feel fear and your mind body and soul from the good bad and ugly of this world helps you decide whether or not the devil is making way or god is going to expose your truth and value to this beautiful life. I cant help but be tormented by my own sad madness of shame I have. Forgive yourself and trust in HIM before you lose yourself and fall into a pit of sorrow and damnation. God is here always and he waits for you to love him and let go of what doesn't feel right. Dont question why who what when where just trust in HIM and he can lead you to where you need to be. God I thank you for the joy of my children the sorrow of my own pressure mistakes and ways and for the sake grace and salvation you have on me. I could not ask for anything but to keep my eyes ears and mind on you through this conflicted confusion and sadness I'm going through. Amen

This was a very emotional and heartbreaking time….but also beautiful time. It shows the love and friendship between all of these guys and their friends and families. Matt, Scott, Josh and Barry definitely have the absolute best friends….more like brothers. Someone said this gives a new or different view of this song and that’s so true…..the love Matt and Scott have as brothers and the love of the four of them. They had so many who didn’t leave the guys…they were there for support and just a genuine brother friendship. I’m sure it was painful for the families of Scott and Matt…all of them. I watched this video and researched the shooting and the fact you were given 5% to survive was Gods will that you did. Im a retired RN and know with odds such as that is like a death sentence. God knew you had other things to accomplish so he kept you on planet earth for a purpose. I’m from Greenville SC and remember the news back then about a band being in a shoot out in Rockhill. Saying you forgave the shooter helped heal you in ways so many can’t understand. I hope the injuries you sustained didn’t leave you with residual health problems. What I was missing in the live performance was here in this version. To me, guitars are so important! I was pretty close to the guys when this all happened and couldn’t believe it and in a way it was a blessing because it changed the whole trajectory of their careers…I always had a feeling they would make it they just had that “it factor “ you don’t see every day out of a local bar band and don’t get wrong they kicked butt as a hard rock band but I’m so glad they crossed over to country! They deserve every bit of success they put in years of hard work to get here playing in small clubs and it didn’t matter if it was in front of 20 or 500 people they put on a show exactly the same! Mad respect from me and so happy Scott pulled through I know God had bigger plans for him !

Never put 2 and 2 together untill nov 2 when my company traeted us to thier concert at manistee michigan and i have fallen in love with this song as i have been dealing with phyical health and mental helth lately and it was a good time would highly recommend seeing this band..

This song is on my playlist and last Friday night I took my husband to get checked out at a medical clinic as he had Covid & was on the meds our Dr prescribed 4 days before and his heart rate was going all over the place, he was sweating, clammy etc. They called paramedics and we agreed to have them transport him to nearest hospital which at that w/ rush hour traffic, a 20min drive was going to take twice as long here in GA. I was following them 3-4 cars behind and while we were stuck at red light all at once they put lightsbon & pulled out of the lane and sirens went on. My heart sank and I didn't know what to think - my eyes were already tearing up. They did call me on my cell & my husband said they have to take him to another hospital, which was about 20min away, going north in opposite direction, because of the crazy heart rate etc. I was all by myself since our daughter's live in our home state about 600+ miles away and our son (who does live with us & is an older teen) was at work in Florida for the Daytona races were that weekend. I'm having all these things running through my head and they weren't helping at all. I turned the radio on and started the playlist that was going already...this song came on and I was tearing up more. My husband was admitted & came home Monday night after they did a TEE (transesophageal echocardiogram) & Cardioversion, where they only had to shock his heart once, thankfully, to get it back to a normal sinus rhythm. I appreciate everything those paramedics did in caring for my husband as well as the hospital staff from the emergency dept up until discharge. He's home now and on meds to help with A-Fib and blood thinners and doing much better except his heart rate seems too low now but he sees cardiologist on Monday. I'm glad our Dr put him on leave from work for a few weeks because he doesn't need that stress right now. We now have some new roads to go down and I'm sure we'll have some hiccups along the way and the years to come. My husband is also 9.5yrs older than me and I need to start looking at things from that perspective. I realize now I just wrote maybe half of a book here....when I'm nervous, upset, etc I tend to always go on. Sorry.. I wish you all a wonderful weekend with your loved ones.❤❤

Oh my goodness I had no idea any of that happened. I'm glad to hear that the band members pulled through and are doing better than ever. I also hope to God that the people that did those cruel things get what they deserve.
