BIGGEST Salmon ever caught on MY BOAT | Found the PIGS!!

You know the story by now, I have been on a drought when it comes to catching big salmon, anything 20+ pounds. Finally the day has arrived when I am around big ones, not a lot of nets flying, but when they do its a giant salmon. Lucky for me they always seems to bite the krippled anchovy so the action was fantastic. We launched in Tomales Bay then drove out into Bodega Bay.

hey chris great videos. ive enjoyed so many. i used to never have any problems with motion sickness but age has seemed to change that. i noticed you are using a patch behind your right ear. is that scopolamine or an herbal patch or something else? how bad is your motion sickness without it? does it really help you? also, with all that squid coming out of the salmon what would people think about mooching with squid?

yes its a scopolamine patch, i get motion sickness at 5-6ft+ swell. The only side effect I get is dry mouth but it sure works for me against motion sickness. I think live or fresh dead squid could work well for the salmon if something else doesnt eat it first. Thanks for watching

Try some offshore tackle OR 8 down rigger clips. You’ll be able to slice right through those jelly fish without having false releases. I rig mine up with a SS line clip and 130# mono to my preferred length.

I’ve been going out Of tamales Bay for years now and I got to say it’s scary time every when it seems easy. There’s only 50 yard wide area That you can pass through at the choke point. If you don’t know what you’re doing ask and follow someone else that knows. The sand point is further out this year. Great job the big one Eric got was probobly close to 28-30 pounds with the guts but there have been big ones in there if you look at the reports today I went out and we got two 20 pounders and a 17

not if swell is under 6ft. easier at slack or slower high tide. you need to have a gps map that shows you the depths so you drive over the right spots, follow markers. Good idea to follow boats first time too. thanks for watching
