I just picked up the bebop 2 drone. For $499 I got the Bebop 2 Skycontroler V2 (Much smaller) And the FPV goggles. So far it's pretty awesome.

Quad Plex well it was 499 for everything plus I got a 50 dollar gift card for frys electronics. So ontop of the drone itself being on sale that was awesome. The drone doesn't have the BEST 4k out of this world quality but the 1080p is still great. It is easy and fun to fly, I usually go about 20mins as I fear any risk of dying battery lol.

The Parrot Bebop 2 is so trash because the video quality and lighting it shoots at is so bad! Plus the Phantom 3 Standard (what I have) is the same price almost but it comes with a controller, better camera, no mess ups with software (cough, parrot bebop), more compact drone, better unboxing experience, an SD card slot (its already packaged with an 8gb SD card), and way more! Just switch to DJI! They make better drones anyways! (Phantom 4, Mavic, Mavic Pro, Matrice, Inspire 1 and Inspire 1 pro just to name a few) have a good day cause you know you can't do a better response! 👍🏼😁

Did you not read...? like at all lol.. Anyway as for the p3s being more compact, you are on crack. the parrot 2 is nice, but since you don't own one where is your experience coming from. because everything I have seen online really points to it being a nice drone. I only picked up.my ps3 because a buddy was selling one for 300bux with the carrying case and another battery. the ps3 may have better video, but it's pretty limited on what it can do, I am honestly already bored with it.

Nice review. It's a little too Phantom weighted. -The Phantoms lack of HDMI is a total no-go for me, you do FPV once you don't want to miss it anymore. Also the Latency is far less with FPV. -The Price of the Phantom is 3x the price of the Bebop 2 -Even with the SkyController, the phantom costs 1.5x as much. Better use that money for FPV Googles a backpack and additional batteries -Considering the price, it is dissappointing that the Phantom looks like a childrens toy. No disrespect, but it is really ugly. -The Bebop allows flying without a controller (using only Smartphone/Tablet) -The Bebop offers Flight Plan for GPS flights -3rd Party Bebop Apps also offer Follow Me and Look at me flight modes Technologically they are both very respectable drones. For quality imaging I'd surely go for the phantom. For fun and racing I'd definitely stick to the Bebop 2

Love the bebops Flight Planner... you can plan the whole flight out before leaving the house, get to where your going to fly click play and it takes off flies the entire path and returns and lands automatically.

As stated before this review is biased in favor of the Phantom the part of the video which demonstrates this best is the clip from approx 7:25 to 7:39 the Beebop footage is taken in dry conditions ( naturally less contrast) with much more sunlight the ( tree shadows are about the same size as the trees) the Phantom footage is taken after a rain shower ( more contrast) and later in the day which defines colors better you can tell by the shadows of the trees going clear across the road. I do agree with the review that from a photography point of view the the Phantom is better but I the Beebop is not as bad as its made out to be.

The Bebop 2 can handle crashes WAY better than the Phantom. I've crashed my Bebop many times, without any real damage to the drone (including a full-speed head-on crash into a wall). A little tiny crash with the Phantom and you'll likely have to order new parts to fix it.

Very good fair review,though of course that's the first edition Bebop 2 with the huge chunky skycontroller ( similar to the controller you got with the Bebop1 ).I bought the Bebop 2 in November 2016 on black Friday ,got a great deal with the price reduced from £599 down to £449.That was the Bebop 2 FPV package which has the smaller playstation gamepad type controller and FPV goggles.I have to admit,i didn't get to fly it until august this year( stayed unopened for 9 months,so good job there wasn't a problem with it).But so far I have had 21 flights and 2 1/2 hours flight time and happy with it.Im not saying its no where near as good as say the DJI Mavic (which costs 3 times as much),but its great fun,easy to fly and I'm happy with how the videos have came out.This was my last video from 4 weeks ago,when I went to watch a natural phenomenon called the severn bore,a type of tidal wave created 40 miles inland on the River Severn in Gloucestershire ,Uk kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJiXaY2bqaygeZo

Yes you're right but the Phantom 3 4k does not have Lightbridge and that's what he said in the vid. The 4k cam and the lack of Lightbridge are the two things that sets the P3 4k apart from the rest of the Phantom 3 series as it uses "extended WiFi".

This video makes me feel bad. I just got my bebop 2 and flightcontroler 2 , after 20 flights I love it. And my video quality looks good on my devices. The only complaint I have is , it only has 8 gig storage. But other than it’s great. I can fly for 20 mins and at almost 40 mph and get really cool footage of different city’s. And I’ve flown out to a mile and half away several times with no issues.

This is a poor comparison,they are aimed at two different markets. The bebop is not supposed to be a true camera platform, it’s meant to be used for some fun under the sun with a camera on it that you can pull out at any time. The phantom 3 4K is meant for more professional aspects or at least decent filmmaking. A better comparison would have been the spark and the bebop since both are trying to hit the same market.

Phantom 3 Standard or Bebop 2 I'm still thinking of choosing the Parrot instead because every DJI can't just fly authonomously without a route pre-traced already with the drone itself (Flight Plan System in Parrot Bebop 2). That would be useful to me in order to reach and inspect areas distant 2-3km from me, or far as much as i cannot directly control the drone anyways. I wish DJI could include moreover the already existing Intelligent Flight Modes to remove all doubt.

I think this vid comparison is 100% spot-on correct regarding the vid quality and capabilities of these two platforms BUT I will tell you that the Bebop is something that almost anyone can fly and the Phantom 3 series just isn't. I own the Phantom 3 4k and other DJI platforms like the NAZA M v2 & LITE and there is a lot of work to be done by DJI to simplify their crafts if they want to compete with easy-to-fly drones like the Bebop.

Great job! Honest review. I own a Phantom 3 Standard. I have been looking at a smaller solution for a stabilized camera platform, but I am not satisfied with the artifacts produced by the Bebop 2. For the Phantom, the photographic capabilities for under 500 are certainly an incredible value. I believe the Standard is using a Panasonic camera. I bought into the Panasonic 4/3 system a few years and am still very satisfied with the performance. I paid more for my 14mp 4/3 Panasonic camera and lens than I did the Phantom Standard. Of course I have lens options with the camera, but to have a great stabilized camera in the air is a plus plus. Subscribed. Thanks for the review!

Here in 2018, Got my Bebop for $189.00 refurbished W/ the skycontroller 2 and goggles off ebay....On the 2nd day I crashed onto the roof of a 7 story building while in FVP....I was decending and had the camera set too high and never saw the building below me until it was too late...IT stayed connected although there was a message that said emergency landing,motors stalled...And I even took a picture of What it saw where ever it went down,showing lots of stainless metal,and part of a ladder it appeared...That happened on a Saturday morning,and the the building was closed.On the following Monday I went in and told the maintenance man,who went up on the roof and FOUND the drone wedged between two huge fan units on top the roof where it fell 20' down in between them! Upon inspection the only damage I found was a small crack on top of the battery housing,and a couple small nicks in the front props....That drone sat on that roof the whole weekend in 28-32 degree temperatures and icing and STILL flies great no problems! My DJI phantom 3 standard couldnt even take 1 hard landing and almost the whole gimbal assembly had to be replaced and I'm STILL having troubled with it! The ONLY thing my DJI has on the Bebop is slightly better video quality,and thats IT! My Parrot beats the DJI in EVERY other catagory!

I would think that the bebop should be the minimalist drone to get. I feel like an idiot for having a Sharper Image - Dx-4. I tried to return it to best buy because of defects but they want a receipt!!?? If people put the receipts with the christmas presents? ... ... ... I have owned both drones and the software issues with dji were a deal killer. Always crashing and then the no fly zones enforcement on the dji app made it almost impossible to fly my dji drone in my area. None of those problems with parrot plus Parrott has vastly improved the video on the bebop 2. At 1980p the Bebops look as good as the phantoms

The downside with a gimbal is if the quad comes down hard the gimbal is taking the brunt. I had a home built hex with a £150 gimbal and the quad had a power brown out and the gimbal was destroyed in like 5 seconds as it just smashed feet first into the ground.

I agree that the 4k blows the bebop 2 out of the water. The better review would probably be between the bebop 2 and the standard, although even there the dji would likely win. I myself have the first bebop drone and I love it, but in reality it's more like a hobby drone than a professional one. Until Parrot comes out with 4k, I'm probably going to go with dji.

I have both. My phantom 3 standard holds no comparison, flight time is better, distance is better. Imo bebop 2 is more stable in high winds. Video quality is great 1080 is all you need 4k is overkill. Couldn't be happier with bebop 2. Keeping my dji P3 in the closet and it will remain there.

My bebop 1 can only fly for 3 or 4 min max 5 and I landed in snow and the camera is broken, i never buy a parrot drone aggain, i bought a mavic air drone now and i’m sooopp happy about it

I just ordered fully loaded Bebop 2 with skycontroller 2 and FPV goggles - for 200$ No DJI phantom can beat this price, its still very expensive even today in 2020

The 3 4k has the wurst signal quality it fails already at 100 meters. I couldnt get furder then 400 meters en ones it just fel out of the sky because of an imu fail
