I am the daughter of an alcoholic addict father. I went through the same situation that she said ( even more than that)..still suffering 😢 The saddest thing about growing up in an alcoholic family, is the childhood trauma that haunts you in every part of your adult life. The worst part of this life is that no one helps you (no relatives and friends)and you become lonely. That traumas and wounds will never heal. Still struggling to come out of that crisis ☹️ yes she is right if we offer 100 chances to them, that makes us emotionally and mentally (personality disorders)weak...they never gonna change👎 I wish no one go through this and sending healing to those who suffer alone through this circumstances🤍

I can understand what she has gone through.. Even my situation was almost similar..I had very traumatic childhood..my grandmother was very abusive physically and verbally.. we haven't slept peacefully and happily a single day.. I have amazing parents.. i wasn't able to study at home because of all these abuses..one day my mom cried and told me that atleast for 1 day she wants to live happily and peacefully..since we were very poor family I realised it is only through education that I can overcome this.. Because nobody was there to help us..And now I am a Doctor.. doing post graduation..have an amazing family..a nice adipoli husband..and 2 year old son..And about my parents..Yes..me and my brother was able to give a peaceful happy life..They went to Canada with my brother..And now we have a happy family...❤ When I look back because of all those struggles I am what I am today now..and I am grateful ❤

I can totally connect with Ganga. I have lived with a physically abusive and mentally torturing father. The day I got married was the last day I was dependent on him. I have heard my mother keeping all these as secret, so called family secrets not talking about this to anyone. That has affected all our relationships inside and outside. It took 10 years and counting to unlearn the behaviors and habits I learned in that house. I believe most of the adulthood problems have some connections to childhood especially abusive parents. To come out and talk about this in Kerala and live in Kerala takes courage. This girl is brave, she has fought against all odds. My prayers and best wishes to her. I am confident that you will live a beautiful life and make your own story. ❤ Thank you Dhanya for bringing people who are real fighters.

What the heck. Why is he still walking free? The social stigma that divorced women still faces in our society is saddening, and the reason why women do not come out of an abusive marriage. And this story is criminal. He should be charged and thrown in prison. If only we stop glorifying women who tolerate abuse and stay in a marriage just because it is a "holy" thing to do and start looking up and supporting women who gets out of it.
