Thanks for the informative video. Just a correction, you have mentioned the Required Subdivision Index is as per SOLAS CH-II/I Regulation 7 which is actually SOLAS CH-II/I Regulation 6. Again, Keep it up :)

Sir these One compartment and two compartment standard depends on ship lenght?
@oralexammmdprep8110

Ship design for best efficiency and safety. More compartments brings safety but reduces the cargo carrying capacity.

Good day sir....how to know which side of the ship is grounded?....is it by taking soundings using hand lead line?
@oralexammmdprep8110
@oralexammmdprep8110 3 жыл бұрын
Sound the tanks around the ship to find out... can estimate by hand lead line but most accurate method is sounding the ship's tanks...

4:08 - You said if the compartment is flooded and water inside the compartment is flooded till the margin line. But Shouldn't it be like the full ship's water line should reach the margin line?
@oralexammmdprep8110
@oralexammmdprep8110 Жыл бұрын
You are right. However the level in the compartment would also reach that level when water line reaches the margin line.
