One of the saddest things about this story is that the 14 y/o stated she wanted to get pregnant. Many children that haven't felt love have or try to have children young because they want someone to love them. This statement alone shows how screwed up this mother made them.

Not just that. They see others using babies to support themselves. They are children looking for a parent figure to take care of them. Not anywhere near old enough to take on the demands of a child. We have a male culture that allows them to make babies and put the blame on females, poor, desperate, under paid. It is a recipe for disaster. Two broken or needy people. The babies are the unwanted consequences neither one of them need and too often are told they want, until reality becomes harder to escape.

When my marriage fell apart my children where 5 and 2. I decided I would not date until they were grown because I felt they deserved my attention and I knew I could not handle someone even raising their voice to them. Once they were grown I found I enjoy being on my own. It seems some people just cant take time to be on their own. So many children would be alive and unhurt if people just put the children they brought into this world first.

Me, too!! … I divorced my ex because of his drug addiction. Sent him to rehab where he just found more addicts to get drugs from. My kids were 3 and 5. I realized I attract men that need fixed, and ex never paid child support. When kids were 8 and 10, I stopped dating, focusing on my children’s needs, went back to school, etc. They are 30 and 32 now, two wonderful adults, great contributors to society as a researcher (chemistry and biology degrees); and other is an officer in military. There's nothing wrong with getting into a new relationship and having a blended family. My spouse and I have a blended family. However, it has to be right and it has to be healthy. It doesn't sound like the mom in this hearing is either of those things.

@@Name-oz4lq If their caseloads were not so huge? They would do a better job. It is important to know CPS workers have a narrow time frame to respond in and too many vindictive people who use them as scapegoats. We must demand more workers, better supervision and facilities that children in danger can turn to if a safe relative isn't available. Counseling has to be a must for abused children. It is the best way to monitor if a Foster Home is safe. It gives a troubled child hopefully a better contact then a street hustler is. I have sadly witnessed where rules have prevented willing relatives from taking custody of needy children. Abuse continues until or will not stop because a parent is forced into parenting classes. You cannot undo child abuse. Nor should the States be allowed to block children from seeking refuge from responsible relatives who have more of a reason to care for them. My grandmother, who was the better choice of a caregiver was denied because she recieved SSI. It prevented her permission to care for me. My friend was denied custodial rights to her troubled niece because she was a HUD recipient. She was a good mother and already adopted one of her sister's child who was abused by his mother. We give natural parents too many rights. No child, even a created one, should be growing up in the home of a convicted SA. Is there no redemption for them then? Not when it comes to children. Their actions should determine their fate. Are they not teachable? Most, have already learned too much when it comes to abusing children. The best they should hope for is a life of confinement. Only in cases where age was a factor at a reasonable level as in teens who were not in an abusive or manipulated relationship with appropriate therapy is there any real reason why they do not require constant supervision. We must demand a better environment for children to grow up in.

@user-bs6sl4tn4u High horses are great- for having a much larger vantage point to see all the nuances and details that these workers should be able to see and memorise; for talking down to every one concerned because- superior position. For virtue signalling about all those higher standards one has that none else lives up to down there. The observations made from a High Horse are pretty redundant though unless you get down and are presented with the 599 other cases of this magnitude, sensitivity, extended timeline, extended family members like incarcerated fathers having pathological roles in these children's lives. In short, get off your high horse, dump the superior criticism, and leave your bubble of unrealistic expectations and maybe volunteer to help out. See how far your expectations get you then. Of course, without a Blue Card you can't even volunteer, let alone pass judgement. So just work on getting your Blue Card first, and be proud of that.

None of the people she was living with were fathers of her children. Why the court does not force the fathers to take their children and raise them is the reason why social services keeps returning the children to their mother. If a mother or father has 3 children who are on social services they need to show proof of that they have had surgical procedures that they can no longer have children. There is no excuse for the government (taxpayers) to pay for a family of 6 or more to allow them to live off of the kindness of hard working Americans. Yes, I understand that I am considered heartless for making decisions like this. I had the one child I could afford to raise, and they lived with me, I supported them, loved them and am a great parent.

I grew up with a mom who dated and married all the wrong guys after she had kids. I was the oldest and my 2 siblings were about 10 and 12 years younger than me. I had to step up and ve their "mom" when our mom decided whatever guy was more important. And it happened often. I ended up dropping out of school because I was suspended for refusing to serve detention for having too many tardies. I was late everyday because I had to walk my siblings to school first and our schools started at the same time. I couldn't stay after school for detention because I had to get my siblings so they wouldn't be alone. I couldn't tell anyone because CPS and foster homes are where kids in our family had been molested and cries for help ignored. I had to grow up too soon and be a parent to my siblings. Thank goodness I was able to do so and still not allow myself to follow that cycle. My brother has had issues his entire life. He has lost so many kids to CPS because he chose to be like our mom. My sister did so well until she struggled with drugs and it almost cost her everything but she thankfully has been able to stay sober and be a mom to her kids. Please get these kids away from this woman and break that cycle for them now so they don't have to figure it out while raising younger siblings and putting their lives on hold and maybe not successfully. Do not make them be the adult/parent in the relationship with their mom.

Unfortunately a lot of bad parents do this. Too often social service workers are so hungry for a success story to make them feel like their work had a positive impact on a child’s life after all the horror they see leaves them wide open to put kids back in bad situations. I saw that first hand in Virginia. I looked at the offending workers social media and all over it was memes about helping bad parents. The bad one in my situation had her on the list to testify for her to get unsupervised contact with a child that wasn’t even in a DSS case… They ignored every report about the child that they should’ve been watching and ended up removing her the day before the woman was going to testify. The DV was so bad when they got there she forced the mom to go to the ER. Needless to say, those kids never went back and the two additional children were also removed. They need to stop thinking about helping people who don’t deserve it and get back to the business of protecting kids.

Unless there is some serious intervention and a massive wake up call for this child, I’m afraid she will beeline straight to ‘mom’ and fall right into that lifestyle. 😔 💔 Thankfully, it seems as though little Harmony is very aware of how bad her mother’s behavior has been; and hopefully this will protect her from falling into the same life. I have a good feeling that she will recover from this someday and have a good life.

Back when I was young (born 1957) my mother's preferred method of discipline was one of my dad's old belts. She would keep it on top of the refrigerator. Hearing that buckle slide of the fridge was more frightening than actually being wailed on with it. When I was an "unruly teen", I would get beat almost weekly. I would go to school with belt welts all over my torso, scratches on my face ( my mother was a slapper) and bruises all over my body. This created mental health disorders primarily BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), PTSD, anxiety to name a few. I never really forgave my mother although I did learn to get along with her somewhat when I was an adult. She refused to go to therapy with me after I started as an adult saying "it's always the mother's fault, isn't it?" Hitting a child in any circumstance is wrong.

Mom's body language is yelling at me! The crossed arms are a reflex to prevent feeling attacked. Her sideways seating shows she is partially withdrawn and also the yawning! Hint from a Nana, if you are yawning, take several very deep breaths through your nose and out of your mouth. The yawns are trying to bring your body more oxygen. When tired or stressed our baines are distracted so breathing, being an automatic behavior, is out of sync.

This mother reminds me a lot of my own biological mother. My stepdad was SA-ing me from the time I was 5 to 8 yrs. Old. Other abuse occured to and I finally told a older girl that rode my bus and next day I was taken. That was January 6, 1993 and to this day I've never seen my mother or stepdad. She decided it was more important give up her rights to me so that my stepdad wouldn't go to jail. I've never been upset about it because I was adopted at 9 and given the absolute best family and life! I eventually was able to forgive my stepdad for hurting me but a few yrs. Ago I got in touch with my biological mother and at one point she sent me a picture and even though she wasn't with my stepdad anymore, the picture she sent me was of her and my sister sitting on a couch and beside the couch was a table and sitting on that table in a picture frame was a picture of my stepdad! I was shocked she sent me such a pic. It was like a slap in the face! And since that day I've not spoken to her and don't want to. The kid swallowing meth was from someone walking through the yard and dropping their drugs, and not from her boyfriend she knows uses meth. 4. She ONLY tested positive for marijuana because she took CBD ONE time and thought she wouldn't test positive. 5. Her urine was only diluted because she was drinking excess water during that time SPECIFICALLY 6. Her daughter wasn't dating her step son, she was dating her husbands GIRLFRIENDS son 7. She had no clue that her daughter was smoking weed in the home meth users live. The only thing she didn't deny was being choked and that's because SHE was the victim in that incident.

The Guardian ad litem will always bring out the TEA. All the allegations that the prosecutor is unable to question about will be brought out by the kids guardian. That’s why you should always wait until the end of the questioning to hear the real story.

I'm sorry how in the actual fk did she get her kids back the second time after something as serious as a 2 year old digesting meth?!

1:24:45 I loved hearing the calm voice of the CPS Lawyer all the way to the end. He sounds like he is alert and comfortable with this profession.

Please someone tell me. They didn’t send the kids back? What a heartbreaking thing. Some people should never have kids

listening to the CPS worker, it shows why so many of these kids fall through the cracks. this has to be the hardest job in the world trying to make decisions for these kids of irresponsible parents. I have a new respect for CPS.

I'm confused and I might have missed something but in the beginning they said that Isaiah had been strapped into a car seat and then later they say both Eduardo and Jonah had been strapped into a car seat. I can't even figure out how many kids there are involved in this case. What a mess!!

If these agencies refuse to share information these monsters will NEVER be caught! Why would ANY agency refuse to share information where the safety and very lives of these innocent children are concerned?

I love, love, love this channel! I watch ALOT of channels like yours and you are my new favorite? A lot of the others, talk too much during the videos, which drive me crazy, or they pause it and talk. Your comments you put onscreen is brilliant and on point! Keep up the good work... I’ll be a loyal subscriber!

Or they set off a screaming goat sound bite out of no-where and blows your eardrums if you're using earbuds. I agree with you. I love the onscreen comments. 😊

@OnTropolis •thank you for bringing this case to us … I found a bit of solace in knowing that just because someone knows all the “words” that it doesn’t mean they know how to be a better parent 😢

A long time ago and heard a saying, "Every child deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a child!". This is absolutely one of those times!

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. And 13 years of past behavior is a pretty good indicator.

The mom sitting there acting the way she is just shows her character. She acts like she's bothered to be there. But, if you're a truly loving mom who takes care of your child and protects them, you're not going to act like that and do what you got to do to prove your innocence. And if someone did do something to your baby, you're going to go above and beyond to find out.

5 kids 4 fathers 3 removals 2 foster homes.(Thank God for them) 1 deplorable human being 0 chance in Hell that she should ever have children in her care. Only losers use drugs. Only users "lose" drugs.🙄
