Oh my! I needed to hear this today. I have been so burnt out in my motherhood journey & this is the encouragement & guidance that I needed. I have 3 littkes 3 & under & most days feel so exhausted that disciplining is coming from a place of being burnt out. I have totally put my Savior & Father's response on the back burner. I'm excited to learn more.

Rod of correction is already named in the Bible …. Correction. It means boundaries maybe even physical boundaries. It doesn’t say assault them…. But let’s think about this…. A person who doesn’t have a fully developed brain and we can beat them into compliance….. but an adult (with a fully developed brain) I can’t because that’s assault? Discipline means disciple them….. boundaries yes, permissive parenting no, but this does not mean you physically assault them. I am not attacking you cuz a lot of ppl were raised this way and physical assault is in fact all about the parent not the kid.

Proverbs 23:13-15 ESV Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol. My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad. Deuteronomy 21:18-21 (King James Version): If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear. I raised my son from age nine he is 26 now i never and i repeat never layed a hand on him for anything.

I was laying in my bed crying because I can't get my children to listen to me and do right, or even listen to me when I try to tell them about Jesus, and after all the trying, I've hit a point where I am so frustrated and feeling like the boys are out of control. That makes me feel like a failure before God, so I have been getting angry and yelling at them, and that's not what I want 💔 😭 I don't know how to leave my emotions out of it. But this video really helped me to see them with different eyes and gave me the encouragement I need to try again. Thank you so much 💓

Good advice, but I have to correct you on one. In the psalms, David is not saying he was born a sinner. He is talking about his conception! He was born out of sin, the sin of his mother. We don't know if she was a fornicator or an adulterator, but it is absolutely not saying he was born already a sinner. Later in the psalms it says that God has fearfully and wonderfully made. David. Did God fearfully and wonderfully create sinners in the womb? That's a contradiction. There's not one scripture that says we are born already sinners or even with a sin nature. We become guilty of sin when we begin sinning. And we don't begin sending until we know the difference between right and wrong. And when we choose wrong. To him, it is sin. That is what the Bible says. The Bible says that the kingdom of heaven belongs to children and that we should become like children. What a contradiction to say that children are already sinners and also that the kingdom of heaven belongs to them, when Jesus himself said that sinners do not make it to heaven!

Absolutely agree with you! :) I apologize if I didn't articulate that all the way through. An act of sin is in no way a blessing, it's what took Jesus to the cross and should bring us to a deep remorse and genuine repentance. I believe the blessing is when our children recognize and acknowledge that sin IS foolishness and therefore begin to CRAVE after wisdom. To have their eyes opened in such a way is a miracle. :)

The devil is using this woman to convince to to harm your children. God has blessed us with amazing advancements in psychological understanding of the human brain and it is FAR more complicated than we knew. All the modern science that God has blessed us with comes to the same conclusion: Hitting your children will not correct bad behavior but encourages it. I pray for you and for your poor children, that they may forgive you as he forgives us. Amen.
