Have you tried neem oil? I mix neem oil with water (in accordance with instruction on the label) to spray my roses outdoor and it helps to control pests. I spray every 2 weeks.

@@cristinas.5108 😥 oh no. The thing about neem oil is that I have to spray it very early in the morning or when the sun is almost down to make sure the leaves are dry up before the sun ray hits them. Or else, they will get fried. My parents tomatoes were almost dead because of that. They had to spray the plants with water before it was too late.

Do you use the same amount per gallon of maxigrow?
@plant4table3 жыл бұрын
For lettuces I use 1 teaspoon of maxigrow per gallon. For fruit plants, I adjust the amount up depending on what type. Just add slowly and measure ppm every couple hours until you reach the desired level.
@NicholasPOGM3 жыл бұрын
@@plant4table Do I need to drain the tank and start over using just maxigrow or are the minerals the same? (Sorry.. kind of a newbie in all this) Oh.. and I only grow lettuces
@plant4table3 жыл бұрын
What nutrient are you using? If the tank is too dirty, you might as well rinse it out and put new nutrients in. You can just mix it in too, just make sure you measure the ppm.
@NicholasPOGM3 жыл бұрын
@@plant4table Maxigrow. Gardyn said Maxigrow would cause a biofilm to grow much quicker which is dangerous for the plants. And so now I am stuck with no food at all.

Today I received 300 lady bugs. I have an Aerogarden and for some months I have been getting those wihite bugs on the leaves drying them out. I evenually had to cut some of tthe stems off. Lets see what happens.. The instructions say to release them at dusk or dawn... so I will wake up early to release them. I like that you placed a wet towel and leaves for them to rest but I'm assuming they will sleep on the plants itself. Did the lady bugs resolve the infestation? did they reproduce and kill all the bugs? Please post another video. Would love to see the results you have today.
@plant4table2 жыл бұрын
I posted a part 2 of this ladybugs video. I got defeated at the end and had to start over. That was easier than keep battling. My issue was that I had multiple systems with over 100 plants. It was hard to manage once getting infested. Goodluck on your battle. Hope you win 😀

Do you know what caused the infestation? Is there a way to avoid it. I’m considering buying an I harvest because I’ve been watching your videos for several weeks now.
@plant4table3 жыл бұрын
Months ago I brought outdoor soil and potted soil indoor and try to grow watercress. As a beginner back then, I did not know that soil contained pest eggs. Also, don't put your indoor potted plants near the your hydroponic garden hoping they can get some light. Most people get pests that way.
@lindalopez53373 жыл бұрын
@@plant4table so then if you only use the rapid rooter will your chances of not having an infestation be good? ... thank you by the way. I truly appreciate your input. .. I bought all my seeds and am literally about to put them in the pods but I’m slightly scared.
@plant4table3 жыл бұрын
@@lindalopez5337 You should be fine. Chance is small, but pest can be brought indoor by your pets or even you. However, don't let that hold you back. The reward of having an indoor garden wayyy worths it. And if you get it, there are ways to control it (and you don't need to release ladybugs lol).

Amazon sells them. It took a week for them to arrive but I got them today. They look alive and well. They stated to leave it in the fridge if I can't release them right away. They last 2 weeks in the fridge the instructions say. LOL. I hope I don't find lady bugs in my food and all over the apartment.. Once I brought one in from outside by accident. We have a garden and we had bug issues there. The gardener bought some lady bugs, and I guess it clung to my clothing somehow and I brought it home. I do like the red ones but I got the brown ones. I wonder if there is a difference in color. At least the red ones one can see better when they are walking around the plant and house. To answer your question, Amazon has different quantities. They do reproduce so I started with a smaller batch. The fridge has to be between 35 degrees and 42 degrees. They can't be frozen.
