Anyone else find his smiles as being somewhat indicative of compassionately seeing how we’re all suffering taking this all as being real, and he knows exactly how we’re reacting and thinking, exactly how lost we are, and it’s all kinda humorous but in a very accepting and caring kinda way.

The tantra is very much awake in certain parts of Africa where I come from. My language as I later got to understand is a non dual one, there is no doer. I kept on having experiences going up but didn't know who to consult. Years later in Europe, I became a Buddhist under the Umbrella of Trungpa Rinpoche, still am. I had with time forgotten my experience of the past until one day I bought a book of this wonderful being talking to us now, and behold here it was. Tons and tons of load fell off my shoulders. This is not bragging, this is my way to say Thank you sir.

He almost looks like he's channeling something, or receiving direct guidance on what to say. His student, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, does something similar. They say it's because he's analyzing what the audience needs and will be able to hear/handle and will tailor his teachings accordingly. The sign of a Living Buddha. 🙏🙏🙏

As long as you think that there is anything in this phenomenal world that can make you happy or you are attached to anything then you are setting yourself up to be disappointed.Happiness and sadness are like praise and blame because you should not let them control you.Primordial essence is anywhere and everywhere.

For those who didn't know, Thubten Yeshe was suffering from a heart condition for many years (eventually leaving the body at 49) from his last letter: "It has been forty-one days since I became ill. The condition of my body is such that I have become the lord of a cemetery; my mind is like that of an anti-god and my speech like the barking of an old, mad dog. I still take sixteen pills a day, and because I must depend upon others for moving about and sleeping, and because my hand shakes when I write, read my letter depending upon the meanings intended and not upon the mere words written. "

Easy going, don't put intellect. Approach with renunciation, then Boddhicitta/compassion and then with sunyhata/voidness. Let it flow organically. Thank you tempa, Lama Yeshe. Namo Buddhaya, namo Dharmaya, namo Sanghaya. For the benefit of all sentient beings in body, word/speech and mind.
@filsdejeannoir17764 жыл бұрын
True. But to attain full Emptiness realisation does strongly involve the intellect initially.

I guess if you’re taking Madhyamika type analysis as path. Zen doesn’t much approach through analytical, Dzogchen neither. From Dudjom Rinpoches “Calling the Guru from Afar”. JE PA'I CHÖ KYI SANG GYE 'DRUB DU NI MI DA' There will never be a time when contrived practice leads to Buddhahood: YI CHÖ LÖ JE GOM 'DI LU JE KYI DRA RE This intellectually contrived meditation of mental analysis is a deceitful enemy. DA NI 'DZIN TANG SHIG PA'I DO ME KYI NYÖN PA This very instant, (let) mental grasping fall apart with the abandon of a madman, JUNG GYÄL CHER NYÄL NGANG LA MI TS'E 'DI KYEL TONG And let this human life be spent in a state of spontaneous and naked ease:

The hyper-individualism of western people, based on the philosophical and experiential background of centuries, makes embracing bodhicitta a challenge. Yet bodhicitta is there waiting to be awakened. The fortunate will use their own suffering as the fuel to embrace, accept, and live out of their own bodhicitta. In that way they will experience awakening, lessening of their own suffering, and the beginning of living as an enlightened being.
@ramon20084 жыл бұрын
Yes sir. I do agree with you. This hyper individualism is a poison in disguise.

Lama lei capsu chi wo---kann kein Tibetisch. to me there is not more to say. Yeshe la my beloved TEACHER I love YOU forever from the depth of my Heart . Yours Tubtän Palden.
THE 'REAL' MEANING OF TANTRA IS NO DIFFERENT TO THE 'REAL' MEANING OF THE BODHISATTVAYANA. THE LIBERATION OF ALL SENTIENT BEINGS. TANTRA/THE VAJRAYANA HAS NO OTHER 'MEANING' THAN THE MEANING OF BODHICITTA AS DOES THE BODHISATTVAYANA. THE BODHISATTVAYANA IS 'THE MIDDLE SCOPE VEHICLE' AND THE VAJRAYANA IS 'THE HIGHER SCOPE VEHICLE' AND THE SWIFT PATH. IT IS NOT 'SUPERIOR'; JUST FASTER AND MORE DIFFICULT; FOR THE PRACTITIONERS WHO HAVE THE CAPACITY AND WILLINGNESS TO TAKE IT ON. ULTIMATELY; ONE CANNOT PROGRESS IN TANTRA WITHOUT FULL EMPTINESS REALISATION AND INDESTRUCTIBLE BODHICITTA. AND OF COURSE; FULL RENUNCIATION. THESE ARE THE 3 FOUNDATIONS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS. TANTRA WITHOUT BODHICITTA BEARS NO FRUIT.
