Machig's Final Instructions - translated by Jerome Edou
Machig Labdrön, or Singular Mother Torch from Lab", 1055-1149 was a renowned 11th-century Tibetan tantric Buddhist practitioner, teacher and yogini who originated several Tibetan lineages of the Vajrayana practice of Chöd.
In the Life of Yeshe Tsogyel, Padmasambhava predicted that Yeshe Tsogyal would be reborn as Machig Labdrön, and her consort, Atsara Sale,[6] would become Topabhadra, Machig's husband. Her assistant and Padmasambhava's secondary consort, Tashi Khyidren, would be reborn as Machig's only daughter, and so on. All of the important figures in Tsogyel's life were to be reborn in the life of Machig Lapdron, including Padmasambhava himself, who would become Phadampa Sangye.

Wonderful- I hope we hear more from her on your Chanel. It"s so inspiring to have some too rare female "masters"representation in Dharma. Its true we are not ultimately male or female ,but still it makes a difference for many of us right now. We can see ourselves by her light. Her teaching is so clear and precise -I just love this video-thank you Samaneri!

Hello, Samaneri, Thanks for offering this great teaching. At 31:48 of this video, it states, ".....her body shone with a blaze of pink light that emanated like sun rays and then it rose about one cubit into space from which she spoke.....". Is this what is called attaining the "Rainbow Body"? In a Taoism book " Immortal Sisters" (Thomas Cleary translation), I believe this is similar to what is described in the last poem "Flying" in the section on Sun Bu Er's poems and their commentaries by a modern master from which I quote here 2 sentences of the poem, "At the right time, just out of the valley, you rise lightly into the spiritual firmament." Commentary by Master Chen Yingning of the above poem says, "This is what is commonly called flying to heaven in broad daylight. Although there are many references to this in the classics of alchemy, I have not personally found any evidence of this attainment in the twentieth century, so I cannot really talk about it." Do you have any knowledge about this or do you know any spiritual master/guru who has knowledge about this? Do you have a video that describes the Rainbow Body or anything similar to it or if not, can you make one? Much appreciated for your reply here, Samaneri. Thank you, Ken

The word, word is merely a word. The concept, concept is only a concept and nothing other. What is the meaning of meaning? That's that. This just as it is. You were expecting? You would prefer? You wanted what? Who does that? The Great Way is simple and easy except for those with preferences. How is your collection coming along? Is chocolate or vanilla ice cream the very best? Up until now, everything was a simple case of mistaken identity in a sequential stream of ignorance. Here, everything was just a simple mistake, yet no regret. Why would there be? Well, you fall for the reality of dreams that arise during sleep until you wake up. There are places, situations, people, creatures as if you are cast in an elaborate movie with props and CGI, (by whom? Who is the invisible director creating those elaborate worlds?). You act and react just as if that's really real. Here, now, there is no difference at all. "Yes, but...", you will say. Then you will hear another direct pointing and deflect it with another, "Yes, but..." as if expecting the expectations to be quelled, resolved or transcended. They won't really be since the question itself is the answer. The dream movie of samsara/nirvana arises just like that. You want to stay in your movie, (long practiced habits and conditioning) for the thrills and chills and to only accept and desire part of your persistent dream and dislike, fear or even loathe the other parts. Excitement is addictive. Thinking and feeling are addictive. Well, everyone else, (there are really no others) in the asylum is doing it, right? You may wonder what is after the dream when you "wake up". If there is more of the same, that's the dream movie doing what it does best: sequels. On The Wheel: episode 9,999 - Living in a Dryer. Oh wow, I'm at the top! Oh no, now I'm at the bottom. Maybe next round will be it and I can stay? It can get rather hot in there. Practicing to remain is futile and frustrating. The person does not wake up, you wake up from the person, anytime, anywhere. In fact, you already have, but since there are many things we don't notice, the self-evident can be easily missed or obscured in everyday life and distraction is the magic spell that gives us this day our daily enchantments. Happens ALL the TIME. Yet, time is a state of mind and everything is consciousness including matter and mind. Awareness simply is. Are you aware right now? (thanks for the blessings of the readings and content) Tashi Delek
