Part 1 of 3: Removing a guitar bridge from an old classical acoustic guitar

Bought this old Mussima classical guitar from ebay for £15. Seemed worthwhile to have a go at repairing it.
Please note i'm no Luthier (that should be obvious!!) so keep the comments positive.

Hey thanks for sharing this! I'm no luthier either, just trying to help fix an old guitar to keep it from going in the rubbish bin, with a pulled up bridge. It won't come all the way off so this heatgun approach will really help. I got a "deep clamp" (8cm x 12cm deep) for €10 on ebay, and some wood glue. Cheers!

I have an encore guitar with a plastic( I think) bridge that is lifting. It was my first guitar when I was 8. I'm now 36, and have just got the guitar back from my parents attic! I want to remove and reglue the bridge. What glue would you recommend to glue the plastic bridge to the wood top? Is that the hide glue you were talking about?
