It looks great but seeing you happy and seeing your visions come to life is the best part. Have a wonderful Sunday and try to stay cool. Little Shepherd Farm

Nothing wrong with OCD! That is just the care in doing it right, and the pride in a job well done! In that hot weather…I would have gotten the tractor and my post hole digger!😂😂 Great start Tyler. We’re cutting the hay fields for our second cut today! It won’t be 108F, but it is supposed to be high 80 to low 90F today! 😎

I have fed that way for years its great. My final design has a 1 way slant roof so i can feed from 3 sides if needed. Never know when your going to feed a larger round bale if you come up short. Mine is 7ft wide i never really waste hay due to the brooming action he was talking about. The best thing i added though was rubber skidsteer and excavator tracks for where the cattle stand no more mud! Just manure that is very easily cleaned with a skidsteer. I do clean the hay feeder 1 time per year for stems and small sticks they wont eat. Good job sir you always think outside the box and always keep looking to improve the cattle and the farmers lives.

I like how you think. You are a craftsman and you want things done right. That's how my farmer Dad was, too! Thanks for adding the "bull fighting" in the intro. That makes my day! Do you have humidity in your neck of the woods? Yes, that is Hot! Really hot!

KUDOS Tyler. For a hoot, and to watch an excellent fabricator make nonsensical things, watch Colin Furze. You will appreciate his welds, his precision, and a fabricator’s dream of cool tools. During the lockdown, he had millions of viewers!

Yes, your planning skills are amazing. Your use of repurposed materials is excellent, but I’m most amazed at you doing everything by yourself. No extra hands… in any episodes. I just can’t imagine. I’m assuming your grandfather must have taught you well!

The most important step (in my opinion) for any project is the one where you put the plan into action. That first action step takes it out of the dream/plan stage and into the real world. Great start!

@@miriambertram2448 Greetings from a fellow 72-year-old damsel! I have condos in Ventura, but I chose - perhaps foolishly - to rent them out and move to an isolated valley in eastern Kern County. The power just came back on after nine hours of no air conditioning or water (I’m on a well that runs on electricity). I often wish I had some of FT’s do-it-yourself expertise!

Great feeder design. RE: Stacking hay in barn. If you will place the first row of bales on their flat end, you can then start your hay pyramid on the next layer and will be able to get 8 more bales per barn width. Here in Arkansas I deal with round bale storage also, and have for many years, but with my tractor and front-end loader am able to put the first two layers on the flat ends. I don’t think you’ll be able to do that with you 8N tractor. If you ever need to store hay outside, put the bales touching the flat ends together- that will let rain run off the round sides without much damage to the hay. If the round sides touch, it will trap rain runoff between the bales and cause the hay to rot. I enjoy watching your videos. Regards

Not fancy? It looks great to me. Just 'A Hair Out of Square' and you fixed that. :) Are you going to put some kind of cover on it to keep the hay dry? That's going to be so much nicer than having to throw bales into the old feeder. How often will you have to add a new bale to the feeder? I think the girls will like it. I noticed a small group came by to check it out. 😂😂

Good deal..enjoyed it. It's not OCD, it's just doing it right and making it square and level. Hell 1/4" off for long pipe inside the ground is nothing...usually ends up 3/4" to 1-1/2" for most of us...even that can be pulled straight.
