This movie theater experience will forever live with me. I remember I had a whole front row of teens sitting in front of me with two parents chaperoning and the theater was electric even before the movie started. By the end of the movie you could hear a pin drop except for the sniffling and crying lol. The line of people waiting to go in saw everyone coming out of the theater with teary faces and you could see their faces change like "awwwww shit" 😂 That movie ran the gamut of emotions.

Great reactions. Just to be a little pedantic: Cap and Natasha didn't "lose their way" after leaving the Avengers they're literal fugitives from the UN and can be arrested if they're caught (same for Sam), so they have disguised themselves. Everyone always knows Cap was clean shaven, a hangover from his time in the Army, so growing a beard will change his look just enough that he's not immediately recognisable. Everyone knows that Natasha has red hair, so changing her hair colour means that she isn't immediately recognisable. That is enough so the "common man" in the street may not give them a second look.

First, Reacts with Jax. Now you guys. Two reactions to this movie on the same day. This is one of the best Fridays ever. The opening Marvel Studios logo for this movie was made to celebrate the first ten years. I loved how we got to see Peter react to the Q-Ship. It took me back to the Marvel vs. Capcom arcade games when Spidey would say “spider senses are tingling.” Even when the world is in trouble, Tony still lands the best jokes. I also gotta give props to Ned on the bus, Bruce going hype mode for Thor, and Groot with Cap among other funny moments throughout the film. The four lackeys that were with Thanos are the Black Order: Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, and Cull Obsidian. Remember when Nebula said to Gamora that she was the sibling she hated the least? The Black Order are also Gamora and Nebula’s siblings by adoption. There were also theories about Red Skull surviving. Looks like they were right on the money. The army of aliens that attacked Wakanda are called Outriders. The Russo Brothers gave me two birthday presents in a row with Infinity War and Engdame. I remember we were all cheering for Stormbreaker entering the scene followed by Thor regaining his armor. That made for quite an entrance. As Groot vanished, “I am Groot” in that moment was him saying “dad…”. If you look closely, Wanda welcomed death. With Vision gone, she felt she no longer had a reason to live. Going into this, I knew Vision would be a liability. It pains me to say it, but while the Mind Stone is a powerful weapon it’s also a homing beacon for Thanos and his crew. We also can’t forget that his body is made out of vibranium. It might be the strongest metal on Earth, but the universe is more than just that or even our own solar system. Unless Corvus’ weapon is also made out of the same material, then it must be made out of something stronger that we don’t know about. Also, the fact that it took a lot for Tony to make Thanos bleed even one bit just further proves that he’s hard to kill. Spider-Man’s vanishing was the most painful to watch. Back in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tony did say that he’d feel responsible if Peter died and didn’t want that piled on his conscience. Just before he vanished, he apologized to his mentor feeling he didn’t do enough to stop Thanos but he gave it his all. The Russo Brothers knew what they were doing. Spider-Man has been a fan favorite for years, and the MCU’s incarnation is a high school teen with a lot of potential. That’s why they purposefully made his death slow.

In Loki's scene, Loki made time while talking to Thanos while taking out his dagger, he gave him time to leave Thor alone, he died.

Thanos's motivation changed from the comics to the movies and in a good way, in my opinion. In the comics, Death is an actual entity, a female one. Thanos, throughout comic history, has wanted to appease her and has done several things to try to win her favor. Eventually, he discovered the existence of the infinity stones and how they worked, and realized he could use them to will all of life out of existence to win her favor with the universal scale mass death. In the movie, the Russo brothers, or whoever exec came up with the idea, changed it to something not only less fantastic, but also more meaningful and deep, that also had some real world application, which was dealing with over population. So they had his motivation be to halve intelligent life on all planets everywhere to restore the races to a thriving number. It's not the most logical motivation, but for coming up with something on the fly, I felt it was a lot better than introducing a deity-type entity called Death, and them having Thanos just want to win her favor.

I think trying to bring mistress Death to the big screen and have Thanos simping over her is both childish and outlandish and wouldn't translate well to live action where millions of adults are wanting a more adult theme they can somewhat identify with. I think what they did with the movie is much better, but that's my opinion.

@@Parallaxus childish is what we got with that more resources crap. A Thanos obsessed with death bringing death is more in line with the character and would make him more menacing. We don’t need a sympathetic Thanos. They already turned Loki into a weakened hero that doesn’t even use schemes to get to his goals. Every villain doesn’t need a story where they feel they’re the hero in the story. Sometimes villains are just villains. Also you don’t even need mistress death on screen to show he’s obsessed with pleasing the goddess of death and this is his goal.

in the comics, I believe after the civil war event, steve rogers retires the name captain america and discards the red, white, and blue suit, and becomes "nomad" with a black suit instead

This movie is based off of a comic of the same name. It's not a 1:1 recreation of course but it has bits and pieces of the original comic. My favorite moment definitely has to be when Hulk lands in the Sanctum Sanctorum at the beginning of the movie. That's exactly how it happened in the comics but instead of the Hulk it was the Silver Surfer.

Back in the late 70‘s, I met a man who was on vacation in Rapid City South Dakota. He was also looking for real estate/hotels to buy. He was a military veteran and now a millionaire who had lost an eye in Korea. While talking to him and over a few beers and hours, he would go off and visit the restroom or checking on his wife. Each time, when he came back, he would have a different colored eye. He kept that up until he finally came back with one that had the US flag on it. Talk about surprising everyone. Until the flag, most people just thought they were imagining things! He said that was how he managed high level negotiations. If the people didn’t say anything about his eye he didn’t do businesses with them. Those that did he could trust. Sorry a now old retired soldier story…but true. Cheers

Thanos' motivation was changed from the comics for the movies. A bit sanitized. He wanted kill half of life as an offering to the physical embodiment of Death to whom he was infatuated with. In the end Death rejected his offering because without life there is no Death.

The infinity stone...in this instance the "Space Stone" was inside the Artifact, the Tesseract, the whole time. Just as the "Power Stone" was inside the Orb. 😊 "There's no way...". Way. 😢 The Black Order is Thanos' elite guard comprised of "Squidward" a.k.a. Ebony Maw, the huge Obsidian Cull, the stealthed assassin Corvus Glaive and his wife Proxima Midnight. The Ravagers... Yondu's group have a code..."Steal from everybody". Lol 🤣 "Did Cap ever answer that call?". Yes, yes he did...in spades. 😅 Cap grew a beard, Natasha changed her hair color, and Vision had an illusion making him look human as they are all fugitives due to the events in Captain America: Civil War. 😮 They didn't wipe all of Gamora's people out...they divided them into two sides and shot all the people on one side. The other side were the survivors. 😢 In Marvel Comics you have an Ant-Man & The Wasp, Yellow Jacket, Spider-Man, Scorpion, Black Widow, Swarm, Mantis, etc. A whole slew of insects. 😊 Thanos' motivation is that the universe has too many inhabitants and not enough resources. Kill half the population and there are more resources for those who survive. He believes it should be random not predetermined as to who lives or dies. Thus achieving balance. The rest of us call that genocide. 😢 Eitri, the giant dwarf is played by actor Peter Dinklage. He also plays Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones. 😅
