I’m so glad that you're opening up your mental health. I’ve been struggling with mental health for the past 4 years. I’m currently working on a publishing book project about Broadcasting History around my hometown Valley here in Youngstown Ohio. My mental health started in August of 2018 when my mother battled stage 3 uterine cancer after two small cancers merged into one aggressive stage 3. After the cancer was removed, it was downgrading to STAGE 1A. Then, my grandfather had another kid and never told any of my family members for almost 60 years then, he died two months later. Then, Covid came and that changed a lot but, got through that and my mom’s reoccurrence came back on March 1,2021 and this time the cancer was in the lymph nodes. This one really affected her mental health and had to deal with my parents fighting like cats and dogs. Police even had to come to house more than 7-8 times in 2021 and 2022. The past 2 days been incredible for me, I felt like a huge weight has been lifted off from me when I visited my friend Connie and her workplace that is digitalizing all local history at the Mahoning Valley Historical Society: Stewart Business and Media Archives Center. Hell, I’m still on cloud 9. Haven’t been there in 6 years and it felt great going back there and I’m going there more frequently because I don’t drive. I also have OCD (been battling with it since I was a kid) as well and yes, I am addicted to social media especially on Instagram and I’ve been struggling with that since I joined in Late November of 2014.

It is great for OCD sufferers. You’re a great and incredible athlethe. And we need more people like you to explain what OCD is. Especially when you deal with OCD themes or subtypes they can really limit a person’s life. It can keep people away from their normal lives.

Hi Guusje......that was a very good and humane video! It takes a lot of courage to say in public something that you know only for yourself! I don't want to say much....just that you have a lot of admirers here in Greece that I'm from and all my friends adore you and like you a lot! I'm speaking for them right now! For all of us you are the hottest, most gorgeous and the best fitness girl of all times! We hope you will get through this and we wish you the very best in your life! Something last.....women have stronger will and can deal with these problems and not only far better than men! Don't give up bc you have the heart and soul of a warrior!

I love that you speak openly about therapy. I‘m sure that helps normalizing therapy and breaks prejudices about mental health problems in general!

Good for you being open with your issues, I'm struggling myself after tearing my hip labrum again on both sides again. I'll not be able to lift again after I have surgery in case of injury but I'll have to try something new like boxing, cycling etc.

I wasn't expecting to hear that, I also struggle with OCD which is very limiting and frustrating, especially during stress episodes. It is different for each person as there are so many types, but anxiety is a common trait. Sending a big hugh and hoping you get to be better soon✨🤍

Guusje, with your video I realized I also have OCD, I thought It was normal checking doors, bags, closet, rooms, cell phone just to check it was alright, but with I feel the same as you, we waste so much time of our lives just checking if things are okay, that’s not alright, I am gonna have to look for therapy, thank you for the video, hope you get better and controlled.

Getting help due to mental health problems is still not as accepted in our society as getting help for physical injuries, which is sad, because it mostly has a much bigger impact on our lives. That's a high quality video for a start. Good conclusion at the end 😅 Do you sometimes show people the middle finger to show them love since you got this tattoo? 🤣
