As a bee keeper, I’d like to say that varroa mites and disease isn’t what kills the bees during pollination. They are worn out working hard gathering non nutritious pollen and the orchard owners spraying whilst the bees are in the orchard. The pollen doesn’t kill them, but it does affect the next couple cycles of bees coming through.
