Part 1 of removing and replacing a Pool Table Rail Cushion / Bumper. I am not a pro at this. Just a guy that couldn't afford to pay a guy. Video shows how I did it.

On a 7 ft table, how far apart are the spots? And exactly where do they go.

Great video! Thank you. What knife would you recommend for cutting the bumper?

A sharp one. Thx for watching.

No shit lmao! And we ended up using a mini hacksaw which was a holy grail for cutting the bumpers.

I got a $2 fruit cutting knife. It has a mix of serated teeth and sharp edge along the blade. The profile of it made it very easy to cut 90% of rubber minimising sanding

Use barge cement all purpose

Why wait 48 hrs you can finish after sticking it.

Use barge cement all purpose. Coat both the rail and the bumper. LET BOTH SIDES DRY to the touch. Then carefully put the rail in place. Now this is optional, place the whole assembly on a surface that will not damage your wood. Like a sheet of crape or rubber. Use a rubber mallet and lightly hammer the length of the bumber. I used this cement in the shoe repair business on soles for 40yrs. Once your material is in place and fastened by this glue you will have a hell of a time removing it so go slow. This will bond crape, rubber, leather etc. Usually when you try to remove the soft materials will come apart before the bond. If this is the case use their thinner and go a little at a time to break the bond. You won't have to wait at all.
