I just gotta say, the casting in this show is phenomenal. The back and forth banter between Santiago and Louie in that restaurant scene? Hands down, some of the best acting I've ever seen. AMC is not getting nor is this show receiving the credit it truly and justly deserves.

I lost my shit when Louis stood up and super sped over to Santiago and grabbed his tongue, my boy Louis was like keep talking shit keep mocking me and see what happens 😂, i thought a full on vampire fight was about to break out, also Episode 5 is the episode I'm probably most excited for I've been dying to know what happened in the first interview like what did Louis and Armand do to Daniel in 1973 that Armand had to erase his memory

I couldn't agree more! I actually jumped off the couch when he leaped at him; the intensity in his eyes and general disposition as he's holding Santiago's tongue! It's also been quite interesting to see the powers Armand has. He can freeze time, wipe memories and make fire balls (in the show, at least). They are laying the drama on thick and the acting is phenomenal. The back and forth banter between Louis and Santiago in that restaurant scene was beyond epic. This is some of thr best casting I've ever seen in a television series or movie, period.

@7:57 I absolutely agree, these characters have so much good and bad about them. Just like in real life when they do questionable or bad things we should be able to point it out and talk about it. To ignore or excuse said behavior isn't healthy.

Santiago, Eglee, and Celeste are on some Jerry Springer, Maury shit, lol And Santiago getting information outta Claudia out the wahzoo, THANK YOU. So many people wanna only blame Louis for their secret being deciphered, or telling Armand something he already knew anyway. But Claudia sure was cocky and TOO comfortable in her ability to lie and block mind-reading.

The frustrating part about Louis and Claudia takes by some people is that on one hand you say Claudia is a grown women of 40 but you still expect Louis to fight her battles as if she was still a child of 14. Louis told Claudia not to join the coven and that they need to leave Paris. Claudia screams at Louis that she needs this. He stays in Paris for her. But now he is the bad guy because Louis is not fighting Claudia’s battles with the coven leader Armand. No. Louis almost die in the sewer because of Claudia choices and no body blamed Claudia. It was still Louis fault for not outrunning Armand, fighting 13 other vampires and dragging Claudia out of Paris to safety. Some people expect a lot from Louis. Claudia is the reason Claudia is in danger now.

it doesn’t matter if she’s 14 or 40, louis made the decision to make her a vampire she didn’t ask for it, he refers to her as his sister his daughter what have you. they’re family! family is supposed to look out for each other. first thing louis says in paris is the me and you speech she’s justified to feel betrayed and not heard by him

@rowensARTstudio Obviously, i understand that lestat made her lol i watched the show. claudia said in s1 that louis found her when she was still breathing, he made the decision to ask lestat to turn her, don’t twist my words. I’m not putting blame on Louis i’m stating the events of that happened in previous season. taking away Claudia’s agency is the tragedy of her character, she’s been doomed since childhood. as a woc i empathize with her story and it is possible to do that without villainizing Louis which i haven’t done despite you for some reason thinking this is what i’m doing. i see both sides of why louis does the things he does and i also think it’s dismissive to see claudia in a light you clearly do

Santiago mocking Louis made Louis realize that he could no longer be a push over. Later when Louis heard Armand's background that is when he decided he needs to become the Master and take over. Otherwise Santiago it going to destroy what Louis has now. Armand and Claudia. Louis may be too late.

The Dandy Warhol’s “Bohemian Like You” is very Louis this season. It’s not so much being Bohemian as aspiring to a Bohemian lifestyle/love life and not quite getting there. I think of what Jacob had to say about Louis’ wardrobe this season-like he’s trying to be Parisian but falling into the trap of being an American doing a lot of stereotypical things and giving away the fact that he’s a tourist.
