In this clip I'm bolting together the majority of the engine cooling tins. Please excuse my constant sniffling. There's a few bits of tin that I couldn't fit, either because of the engine stand or because I don't actually have an alternator yet.

I start with just a plain piece of paper to match my gaskets , trace the outside of your gasket and the bolt holes onto the paper Make the bolt holes a good fit then attach to your heads and lightly rub a pencil over the area of the port openings , you can then cut out and transfer to your actual gasket and carefully cut them out . I use a peice of 80 grit to smooth out the gasket openings until they fit perfectly

That came out really clean. On checking for vacuum leaks, try using brake cleaner instead. Doesn't leave any residue, it just evaporates. Nice getting 2 videos in quick succession. Thanks for that. I go through withdraws.

Top tip, thanks Charlie. Hopefully there won't be any leaks.

Really coming together. I hate aftermarket tins. They always put up a fight. Plus, the quality, just isn’t there. I am running them, on my latest build, but I will replace them, when I find more original ones. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to hear it run.

Agreed. The aftermarket tinware is mostly shocking. Someone should step up and make some decent stuff. I think we'd all be happy to pay a little extra for it.

Great video. What would had made it better would have been the fitting of tin before sending them out. I think everyone knows how to install but a lot of us need help on fitting raw metal.

Yeah I should have sorted that out. It was hard to film as I was doing in between other things - bit by piece. I’ll do that on the next one.

I have been following since episode 1. Please post the engine start. Good idea to post a post brake down and first 5k miles. Thank you. I am going to purchase the 2110 next year.

Hi! What kind of spark plugs did you buy for this build? I'm looking on CB's website and they have several different kinds for different heat ranges. Just curious

looking great ! I have to comment , you paid CB to port match your manifolds and it looked like those were stock intake gaskets you put on there?

Yeah. I know. The gaskets matched up to the ports on the head side and the intake side. But the intake manifolds had definitely been opened up.

What happened to the pushrods tubes issue? Did I miss a video?

Yeah. I sorted that it’s in the long block build clip that was a few clips back.

I ended up using windage tubes and flared the ends out to gain clearance. CB never got back to me about it. They looked at the clips and the photos and then went silent on me.

No flaps or thermostat? They really are important, especially in cooler climates. It'll never warm up without them.

Yeah I agree. In the past I’ve fitted them and never had a problem. It seams that most of these new fancy ‘power builds’ NEVER fit a thermostat. Let’s see what happens.
