I remember seeing a V2 a the Imperial war museum, Its size is mindblowing. Thanks Andy ive just purchased this kit ime going to do a huge diorama. Great video thankyou

I looked into what other support vehicles you would need for a diorama, and sadly there are very few available. For instance, try and find a 1/35 German fuel truck. There's a whole plethora of models that just are not available.

I'm jealous that you get to spend your time doing all this fun stuff as part of your work, great to watch too! I bought this kit for £80 here in the UK, blown away how much is included in the kit for the money! Cant wait to get it and make it.

First time seeing this build NICELY done a suggestion I think two radio antennas would have made good pistons that way it could be raised and lowered

What a very useful video Andy, thanks so much for posting. I bought this kit and I think your video will make the build a lot easier. I do hope they release the rest of the launch equipment as I've also got plans for a big diorama. Your other videos look very interesting too. Subscribed! :-)

Nice build, the 2 suggestions I have are 1) adding some chipping on the base plates and 2) I think it could be possible to build those pistons from scratch so you could display the rocket in either position.

Hey Andy, I thought of a good idea for this build. For the hydraulic arms you could use antenna's from some old junk radio's if you can find the right size. I am sure you could make it work.

I really enjoy these vids. My only comment is that builders who put everything together and then paint can get bitten in the butt. The more complex the kit, the more I tend to pre paint assemblies

The problem I have found with Takom kits is that they are far too complicated and fiddly.

i think that i you used two old radio antennas, the telescopic ones, you could probably make the launcher move...

You couldve used flake gellac in spirits with black paint to make a crusty burnt effect on the launch pad.

Replace the hydrolic rams with sections from small telescopic radio antennas then the will work up or down

ThaBigBoy Another vehicle that could work well in your desert diorama could be a burnt out T-62 as seen here: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/91/Iraqi_T-62.JPEG Or maybe British Mastiff.

as far as i know v2 rockets were only black and white checkered for tests in penemunde and never for the mobile launchers. just my thoughts
