Wow that's great. I love the way you arrange things before starting to write.

Hi , do you know Favini, italian paper, have notebooks for spencerian and copperplate cursive (we call it american cursive and english cursive): favini schizza e strappa corsivo americano e corsivo inglese. It's made in collaboration with a calligrapher : barbara.... I can't remember the full name

Beautiful! I think you used a few different letter forms from the first video in this series? Your lower case "r" varied, as did your capital "F". Perhaps some others also, but I remember these.

Schin, thank you so much for your videos, you're such a master, such a cool teacher and such an inspiration! One little question that's been bugging me for some time: is there a way to make the ligature between b and s - and similar ones - elegantly in spencerian without lifting the pen? I can see your solution looks beautiful, as in absent-minded, but wonder if there's any ligature that works. Thanks!
@OpenInkStand3 жыл бұрын
b and s is a complicated join for sure.. but I certainly lift if I need to. Maybe I'll make a video discussing these interesting joins like b-s, r-s, r-e.. etc

Is it fine if notes for college or something would be a bit messier?

Is that pen modified at all or it's a stock soft fine?

Hi Schin, can you show your gorgeous handwriting videos in real time?
@muskndusk3 жыл бұрын
Do you write like this all the time, or is you 'normal' handwriting different?
@OpenInkStand3 жыл бұрын
It's not always this neat!

@@OpenInkStand I wondered if there was a difference between you calligraphy writing and casual writing. I'm learning italic, but revert to my usual handwriting when making entries in my journal.
