Part 2 of this small series is installing a simple vacuum port line to your Harley Davidson throttle body for easy manifold injection of top end cleaners or even water for the purpose of removing carbon from the valves and the combustion chambers.

Hey my man cool video thank you for the heads up I like that vacuum hose that's good idea, I did similar what you did with the breather bypass but I attached those two rubber hoses to the grommets that you have holes in them, I just turned the grommets that they're up attached the hose to them tighten them with a 3/8 hose clamp and ran the hose is to a t down to one hose out the back! Now when I do 80 on a freeway I have no mist of oil in my throttle body

It's been a few thousand miles now since I have done these videos and the bike is running flawless. The throttle body is as shiny as the day I cleaned it.

I had to stop watching the video when putting water through the intake was suggested. Water is not compressible like a gas and will blow apart the internals.

Water injection has been used since the 1940's. The key to cleaning the combustion chambers is to be sparingly with it. As far as "blowing apart the internals"...not going to happen, unless you dump water in, and hydrolock it. Any liquid, for that matter..will hydrolock a piston engine..when you use too much, at one time.

Just do a hot coat with sea foam every 10-20,000 miles and it'll run like new. No need for all this, very clever, but no need

Thomas Comptois, Can you be more specific? Out of my 16 years as a mechanic/technician (highly certified and experienced), i have never heard of the term “hot coat” or “hot coat with sea foam”. Please explain yourself. Obviously i know what sea foam is and how to use it.

Onpoint Motorworks this is the same procedure for bikes. Just inject it past the butterfly

Thomas Comptois, that was extremely descriptive-thank you. I am going for my last ASE to become master rated this spring... I missed the auto trans by one point last time. I never used sea foam myself, but i have had customers whom used it on vehicles i worked on. I adjusted the valves on a Honda Pilot and noticed a huge pool of sea foam in the intake when i removed it to gain access to the rocker box-i didn’t like that, so i never used the stuff. I was told, when using sea foam, to stick the brake booster hose into the bottle and run the engine-the details you described were much more in depth. Although, the term you used is just a fancy way of describing the process-I would have described adding sea foam in the same way as you described “hot coat”, so “hot coat” is just a term that describes adding sea foam to a warm engine (as Apposed to a cold engine? I wouldn’t do it to a cold engine anyway, so the term is just a fancy way to confuse someone who already knows how to do it-in my opinion). Thanks for the clarification and the detailed procedure for using sea foam. Maybe I’ll find a need to use it someday.

Onpoint Motorworks congratulations on the ASE. Seafoam works miracles if it is used right. IE a qualified technician. Anything with a gas motor whether it be a 2 stroke lawnmower or a V10. There's a lot of videos I'm seeing in KZbin on how much carbon it will remove. Something to keep in mind any motor with now than 500 miles on it already has carbon building up inside. Especially direct injection motors. The trick to it is it's too turn the vehicle off the second your last drop goes in and make sure it doesn't touch the MAF sensor, bike or car.

And that’s why the Evo engine was the last best engine they made. The new Harleys are junk, and the company is going to shit.
