You have to finish all joints with solder or some other insulated crimp connector with gel inside to prevent oxidation. Any wires just twisted together will always eventually not provide a good connection. I've seen wires twisted together about an inch and half and still there was no continuity between the 2 wires unless you shook the connection.

I am surprised to see none of these mechanical wire connections soldered. Wire lacing [IMO] would be a better choice then the stress the drill puts on the wire.

There ARE people who think they know how to install an alarm. I seen myself some disappointing jobs. Luckly I was trained by old school installers and applaud you for your work. I always take pride in my work and cant stand mickey mouse jobs. Starting off with a good brain prep will make everything much easier.

I get that question alot, And it's always a tough reply. With good resources and general handiness, Most people can do it themselves. And yes on the python 533 - You may like my video on how to wire an alarm in detail, I use an avital 5303 which is identical to the pyhon model youre interested in.

You can grab the door triggers independantly in either kick panel, Thats what you need to do on that car.

Thanks for all your videos. I just finished installing a cheap avital 4103 on my cts using a gmdlbp cause it has a pk3+ and I feel much more confident. My biggest problem are the doors. If I didn't use d2d from the module for the doors, it would have taken me a long time to find the door wires. Any good light testers you would suggest. I was losing a lot of time pinching threw the wires looking for positive feedback. Even better if there is one that tells the negative current . Again, thank you for showing us your work. You are def a true professional and I have used you as my reference point many times.

Theres a tester called power probe itll give you power feed back and ground feedback as well

Awesome, Thanks Lessco Electronics, It's because I'm trying to install the Excalibur AL-2075-3DB-L into a BMW E36, with 1 complete loom BMW and 1 complete loom Toyota, as it's a engine swap and I'm unsure of the method of how to splice and lighten the loom without destroying its functionality. So BMW With Toyota 2JZ engine, plus its a huge mess right now, and no Electrician would take this job on for any reasonable price (don't blame them). Again thanks for the reply and the link to pt2

what I think is that I only connect the cables to D2D and it should work? I have a viper that does have the red D2D connector. to which wire do I connect the other cables to? the connectors have the followign color cables: black, ping, green, blue/white, yellow/black & purple/white

nice! I wanna do the same on my Acura RSX. Already got the alarm system, immobilizer bypass relay, and a power windows relay (to make the windows go up when I lock the car). Seems to be complicated. I should watch some more videos I guess. Particularly about RSX model. Unless this toyota is similar stuff!

Thanks for the video! I am installing a viper 5704 remote start system into a 2012 Honda CRV and was hoping you could help. I already have the xpress dball interface module and the xk-loader2 to do the job, however the wiring diagram from command alarms.com says I need #775 relay for parking lights. I checked the website you gave and it doesn't mention it--do you know if it's necessary? This is my 1st install so if you have any other tips for a Honda CRV I much appreciate it!

Installing an ultrastart 1272. My 2012 Tacoma has starter 1 and starter 2. The remote starter only has 1 starter out-put. From what I have been reading it will start in the cold just not correctly if I only connect 1 of them. What do I do ? If I have to install a relay how do I go about that and do you have a video for that ? Purchased the Ultra-start from your store, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

After installing a Viper 350 in a 95 Mustang it picked up a dim parking light flash that last about a minute after opening any door. Its set on the positive door trigger. Looks like feedback. Any idea if I need to diode isolate the trigger or something else? Thx

No why I wouldn't solder the wires for the starter bypass relay, minimum a wire nut or crimp connector. If those come loose you can't even start the vehicle with the key.

i want to know if the place that did my alarm system left the wires in for the remote start because when i got my alarm system done i didnt want the remote start installed at the time. i was a little sketched out about getting it because i heard stories of remote starts in manual transmission cars but now im considering it since were in the winter months now. so how would i know if they left it i have the 5706v viper alarm

David Kuse it's probably another unit altogether. plus you probably won't find a place to install it on a manual because of safety reasons.

I have a problem I am installing a alarm/remote start on to my 2008 honda accord I bought the Excalibur al-1950 with a blade al-64 My problems are the the alarm has a neutral safety (-) were dose this go to? I'd advise you to tie the neutral safety wire to your ebrake, so once its engaged itll allow starting to occur, but you can also add in a switch or just ground it and be more responsible with using it
