It really is a bitchin' tire. Michelin did a really great job with this one. I wouldn't be surprised if the Anakee 3 gets dropped from the line-up with the release of this tire... -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
@prepper_nation_h5 жыл бұрын
Looks like Michelin came up with a great crossover alternative between the Anakee 3 and the Anakee Wild. Like you said, as far as traction goes, the Adventure rear with the Wild front would probably be ideal, but it doesn't address the main reason I am looking for an alternative to the Wild on my bike. The front Wild is source of most of the noise and vibration I experience, and even though it has marginally more tread left than the rear as it comes due for replacement, the front knobs are cupped really badly, mostly due to aggressive braking. So at this point I'd either have to run a complete set of Adventures front and rear or look for a competitive brand that offers good road manners and longevity but with a better tractive design up front. I'd be very interested to see a thorough test of the Karoo Street which actually seems to retain a lot of the Karoo 3's tractive features.
@chaparralmotorsports5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your message Bradley. The Karoo Street just did not have large enough voids for me to like it Off-Road. I wanted too... but just didn't feel good. Now... I would recommend you take a look at the NEW Dunlop TrailMax Mission tire. It really is a true 50/50 with a quiet and smooth running front tire. I am impressed with the overall performance of that tire. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

I had the Anakee Adventures on my KTM 1290 I really liked them correct about soft sand I've just put a set of Anakee on my new Multistrada enduro the scorpion trail 2 are crap and for the amount of off road I'll be doing the Anakee will be perfect
@chaparralmotorsports5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your feedback Thomo! Yeah... not a huge fan of the Trail 2 either... Just not enough meat there for any real off-road action. The Anakee Adventure is a really well done tire. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team

Like the review and test...I have been considering these to replace my stock Anakee III. I am up in the PNW (Washington State). If you don't ride in the rain,,,you're not riding. Have you ever done any review in mild to moderate rainfalls surface streets / highways?

Hi Red, did you get feedback on the mix you asked about? I have a F700GS and would like info on how the mix worked out. Any concerns on wet pavement or soft / packed beach sand, with the front tires running the Anakee Wild and Anakee Adventure on the rear?

How do they perform in the wet?
@chaparralmotorsports5 жыл бұрын
They do really well in the wet. The voids are large and disperse water easily and the silica compound is hydrophobic and pushes water way. They work really really well. -- Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
