Who knew what putting a cookbook together entails, not me. I don't know how you have the energy to make this all happen, but it's going to be worth it in the end. Organization and structure practically describes you. I am in awe with how you prepare for entertaining and ace the events. You’re everything I’ve always wanted to be…except I never got comfortable with entertaining unless it was on the deck with steamed crabs and salads. Have lots of pretty things but it was all wishful thinking. But I have so much fun watching you shopping and prepping and cooking and entertaining!

Ha! Aww crabs and salad on the deck sounds wonderful! Seriously Judy it can be pizza and paper cups and that too can be a blast! I think the secret is always to start at the level you are most comfortable with, and just keep doing it, and little by little it just becomes second nature :)

I never realized how involved a cookbook can be. You are so energetic, truly amazing! Seeing The Grove was very nostalgic for me, too. My daughter lived right across the street while going to grad school at USC. When I visited from the East coast we always walked over from her apartment to eat and shop. I can’t wait for your book.

Amazing how much work goes into this cookbook production! Never given it a second thought but now I see all the work….! Also, funny to se you at the Grove, we used to live there as well and our story is very similar 😂. We lived there for 11 years and when our son was born, we realized it was time to leave. We went to Orange. I used to walk to the Grove all the time and we loved MonsieurMarceau as well. gotta say, cannot wait to get your cookbook!

It's fascinating how this process goes. It's so much work and takes so many people. The recipe editing is so cool to me. This is one of the reasons I like using cookbooks over random recipes on the internet. Because books have editors dedicated to checking the recipes for correctness and readability. Even on pretty well known food blogs I've gotten recipes that had ingredients in the list that were missing from the recipe. A well editing recipe really makes a difference especially if you're making something for the first time. Congrats on the book I can't wait to see it.

Ha! Oh I knew there would be light at the end of the tunnel eventually! Ha! That's why the photo wall was so great! And the produce table, because as the photo wall became bigger, the produce table became smaller ha! So I knew we were making progress and getting to the end!
