how do you figure out the growth rate of the Meningiomas tumor Dr. Cobbs referred to in the video? Do you need a small surgery to get part of the tumor out for pathology?

I had a partial resection, and mine is compressing the vein of Galen, and it is at the splenium of the corpus callosum and the bilateral mesial occipital cortex.

Did the mass grow back, or are you back to normal? I was just told i have what appears to be 5-6cm Meningioma on right frontal lobe. I had blood clots from dvt and pe in September. Scheduled tumor resection jan 31.

@@mattscott6591 I did radiation last may, and my tumor is stable. My surgeon said he could make go from a blueberry to a pea size. For me not worth the stress and time out of work. I am back to normal. My vision has improved I have lost 75 pnds. I am just being monitored. The frontal lobe area is a good area to have a tumor. Easy access, still sucks but you will be ok. Just breathe and feel confident in your team.

@@colleenbattensabala1128 thank you so much for your reassuring words. How large was your tumor and was it causing any deficits like weakness or drop foot on either side? I have significant drop foot on left foot and I’m hoping i can regain function. I’m glad to hear it doesn’t seen like an aggressive tumor you have and your vision has improved. My heart rate also shoots up when i stand or walk around. Did you have this as well?

@@mattscott6591 lucky my tumor was found when I was hit from behind in a car accident. I had no real signs of a tumor. I had migraines but they were managed. My tumor was not that big. It was over 2.5cm I think. But I became pregnant and lost the baby and my tumor doubled the size it was in 2 months and my neurologist knew that my tumor like hormones. So that’s when he decided to send me to the neurosurgeon, and we decided to try to take what we could out. I did have a stroke and woke up blind but I am completely recovered, on both accounts. My neurologist optho says I am a weirdo as my vision should not have improved as it has. I did have to do vision therapy, PT, and OT. My surgery was in April and I was back to work in July- caring for infants. You will have your life back. You might have to work at it, but you will have it back.as for my heart, it tends to be on the low end of things.

@@colleenbattensabala1128 wow so they discovered it coincidentally? Did you lose your vision and have a seizure prior or after the surgery? And how long did it take to recover? Were you in the hospital for long?

We transported a 72 y/o female pt who was diagnosed with a grade 4 miningioma, is it so rare that it was not included in this categorization or is it very similar to the grade 3. Amongst the symptoms she described the most vivid was the "loss of balance as if there was no earth beneath her feet and she was floating" trying to imagine where the tumor is most likely located based on these videos I'm assuming the brain stem but would you be able to elaborate on this particular case and presentation. Thank you for your time

My daughter is 18 and just diagnosed with meningioma - they weren’t able to remove much in surgery due to vessel involvement. How rare is it for this to happen in someone this young and otherwise healthy?

Ps - it’s in her speech and language center and about 3.3cm
