Hi! Great video! Why did you have to change the oil pan and oil pump? Doesn’t the original 1,9 oil pan work in the transporter?
@OllarisGarage2 жыл бұрын
No it doesn’t. The factory engine angle of a t3 transporter is 50 degrees and not like the other vw s where it’s 24degrees. So to maintain the oil level you have to use the t3 oilpan.

Amazing work like always Sebastian! That engine really did get a proper rebuild. I’m sure it’s gonna run like new :) but did you make sure the piston rings were still doing their job? To ensure all pistons have the same compression.
@OllarisGarage4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Honestly, I regret taking the cylinder head of seeing how good everything looks inside. I was thinking about redoing everything inside (piston rings, bearings etc. ) But I’m sure there is so much more life left in this engine.
@leobrent79264 жыл бұрын
Ollari's Garage yeah I was thinking the same when I saw how good it looked. Maybe it would’ve been easier to just make a compression test with a pressure gauge to check the cilindres and you wouldn’t ve had to open it. But no regrets! That car is gonna have a great engine and it’s good to peek inside it anyways hehe. Looking forward for the next video on this serie.

Nice work, but what kind of engine? I see a new generation tdi / sdi cylinder head. I would be grateful for an answer. Have a nice day!

If you look back on my older video you can see it. It’s a AEY SDI from a 99“ caddy.

I am passionate and I own a vw golf 3 1.9 GTD AAZ for 15 years, I try to keep it in very good condition. Question: What model of injection pump did you install? If I were to build a motor like yours, would it work with an AAZ injection pump? Thank you very much!
@Ollaris2 жыл бұрын
@@titustitus9109 i have the pump from an AAZ it’s not ideal, but works. The pressure and flow isn’t really enough but it works. I would recommend that you look for someone in your area that can modify the pump to work better on a tdi.
