Re: side panniers: I fitted both panniers earlier today; the first went in easily, the second was difficult, particularly aligning all three parts (ie the top front and rear and the lower rubber rest) Am I right in noticing that you insert the rear top before the rear front, or was it both together. Thanks

You should be able to fit both top mounting points in and then line up with the bottom point and slide it forward. There should be a bit of a gap with the bottom bracket before you slide it forward to lock in place.

Where did you find the 3 cylinders? Looked under the seat, called dealer, no help. Bought set of 3, not matched, thought I'd have local lock guy make key with ignition one side, panniers the other

My bike came with a manual 2 sets of keys and the lock cylinders and a nice Triumph backpack and a zip portfolio. I would have received them even if I didn't order the side cases. So in my case everything was inside the zipped portfolio case.

Thanks for sharing this. Do the panniers hold a size large full face helmet? I noticed you have a spoiler on the windshield. How much does it reduce noise and buffeting?
@DonMPhotography2 жыл бұрын
I'm still on the fence with the spoiler ... somehow sometimes it helps a lot and other times it doesn't seem to help as much. Depends on the wind direction. It definitely raises things so you can duck behind it easier and it seems to be stopping the bug splatters on my helmet wind shield. It might be more effective at slower speeds. I hopefully have a longer ride coming up this week to give it a better test.

@@DonMPhotography Thanks for the quick reply. That was my experience on my 2 test rides. In one direction there was noticeable buffeting at highway speeds. In the return direction there was little to none. Regardless of direction, I was disappointed in the high wind noise. Does the spoiler lower wind noise at all? I really like this bike except for the buffeting and wind noise. Please report back on your experience on your upcoming longer ride. Thanks

So I gave it a try this evening and I can get my XL Sena Outrush helmet in as well as my Large HJC IS-17 Fullface in the pannier. I'll have to do a video as it seems to like to go in a certain way.

@@DonMPhotography That's good to hear. And a video is a very good idea. Many manufacturers seem to make overly optimistic claims in this regard, and many vloggers fail to test this. Video verification would be well received.

I would appreciate feedback on whether you like the Triumph panniers and how they affect the bike. Many thanks!
@DonMPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Personally I prefer the top load style but these worked very well and with the built in mounts you add very little extra weight to the bike. I don’t notice any effect to the handling of the bike. …. I did have to give a few turns to the rear preload when I had them packed full on my recent trip as the suspension was feeling off.

@@DonMPhotography Your feedback and channel are greatly appreciated. On function and handling, if you could only purchase the pannier of top box - what would you recommend? Many thanks!

Sorry my note should have said “pannier or top box’. I have never had luggage and are debating between the two Triumph products. Thanks
@DonMPhotography2 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough question, the top box is, to me, more handy and more functional. You can put larger items in it. But it looks a little more scooter ish and Carries the weight up high. The panniers look cooler and carry the weight lower but not nearly as functional due to the size and weird angles.

Personally I have the top box on Moore often than the panniers … also it’s a narrow configuration and slips past the car much easier in my garage.
