Watching the video on that truck makes us realize how complicated our life is, that truck is so simple, gas, oil, tires, no scan tools, no Internet needed, Simplicity is something to be admired
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
It really is, Dave! It's really unbelievable how simple it is and that everything is readily available for it. I think the customer and his family are going to be very happy with it.

Super Super Cool Video Mr. Tony! It is great watching this truck come back to life and it is interesting so many items are working or you and Charlie gets them to work. Both of you are tough as nails working out side in this cold weather. We will be looking forward to the next one to see the progress. Roseann & Dan

Thank you so much, D & R! Actually, this was on a couple of the last nice days we had. It's been terrible cold, and I can't really do anything outside. Tomorrow, it may be 63⁰ and then rain, but I have a family Christmas party. I really miss my video time!

That rear bumper is the design my dad preferred; as it allowed the tailgate to drop down flat.

So cool! Love that it is a four speed also, although first is just a granny gear I guess. How great it would be to have that truck and just do truck stuff with it.

Yep! That's what the owner plans to do with it.

Came for the 1980s Lincoln Town Car content, staying for and loving Chevrolet I6 engines, in truck or car form!

Thank you! There should be a Town Car power seat switch cleaning/repair video tomorrow. And soon, a remote start installation on mom and dad's black 89!

@tonyscarcare5657 I have experience both driving and owning vehicles with a Chevy six, but also second-hand contact with someone else's old 1954 and '41 cars as well as an Advanced Design era pickup. So gratifying to get them running again.

My 1947 Chevrolet car had the same type of advance, with the whole distributor moving. Until i bought it, i had never seen it either.

The truck runs really well for its age, but it does have low mileage. It being an Apache "20", would it be a 3/4 ton truck? Looking forward to the next update on this.🙂🇨🇦
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
That's what we're told, that yes, it's considered a 3/4 ton. I'd say it's a pretty good workhorse.

Great video, love those old Apaches. Might I ask what kind of work gloves you are using? We use a similar type glove and they really last a long time with a good coat of grease and grime👍
@tonyscarcare5657Ай бұрын
Thank you! Those are nothing more than cheap gloves from Harbor Frieght.

Tony, Have you reached the conclusion that Chevy reached its peak in 1961 and it's been pretty much all downhill since then? 😉

Amazing how these old and simple vehicles can be brought back from the dead. Try that with the modern plastic and computer infested junk we have now after sixty years. Not a chance.

I know. There's no reason for all of this junk.
