Although true, all those compliments towards Vinnie went to his head. As talented as Vinnie mite be he has failed to release any music in the last 35years. Unfortunately Vinnie isn't a team player and does not play well with others and on his own its doubtful he will ever release anything in the future.

Lmao kiss members including Paul and gene were selling guitars and stuff at meet and greets for $5000 and sure I get it vinnie lied and said it was one of his favorites but gene and Paul rip off the fans the real ones that don’t have deep pockets to pay camera y prices. Those are the fans that would cherish something cool that’s affordable for the rest of their life and pass it down to their kids. Gene and Paul also do everything for big money, always have. Nothing was done for the fans, it was always for their greed including how they treated their hired help.

I actually think it would have been really idiotic to maintain the makeup, especially when Lick It Up was released. Fifty years of nothing but makeup? That would have been more of a crutch to lean on rather than trying to stay relevant. COTN was one such example.

That's one of the reasons Gene didn't want Eddie Van Halen to join KISS after Ace left. He knew Eddie, as good as he was, he would have been a repeat of Ace with his addiction issues. I don't blame Gene at all.

Paul says all this shit about hair metal but I would put Kiss as The Godfather’s of Hair metal. Nothing against that but don’t act as if you are above that as you are that. Problem was in the 80’s there was many better hair metal bands then Kiss so Kiss fell into the same category as a Ratt or Cinderella.
@haywoodyoudome3 жыл бұрын
Paul wrote "Let's Put the X in Sex" and "Read My Body"....two of the worst songs in the KISS catalog and complete hair metal cheesy garbage. He's got a real selective memory when it comes to criticizing others.
@melissas48749 ай бұрын
He talks shit about it because he's upset with himself for trying to fit in with it even if he can't admit it. He initially says they were trying to fit in to what was played on MTV (which was "hair metal") to get more air time. He negates himself constantly.

VV is like any of us Musicians. NUTS. His Talent and Songwriting as Gene points out was better. Lick It Up and Creatures and what he did in terms of helping Kiss was at a time where they also were about to take off that Make-Up. He writes songs why should he not be paid. There was no Spotify. I appreciate Kiss after VV but never as much as the Copycat ...copying the style that was Popular. Carnival of Lost Souls is an excellent example. . Kiss with the original 4 Members is why in 2022 I am commenting. This is what Kiss will always be. The Original 4 members.Oh and the Channel is Awesome. So was VV .

Ace talking about Gene about not being a drug addict (but he is a sex addict-priding yourself on screwing women isnt something to brag about) and marketing himself. Gene is a good songwriter, bass player. KISS songs wouldnt be KISS songs without his bass. Ace, your life experience is not the kind people can look up to. Ace was a handful to deal with and honestly, i would've kicked him out of the band in 74
