Just love the rush when that baby fires😂 - great job. I’m busy with an E92 N54 racecar build, and can’t get the bloody thing started😢. Trying to troubleshoot methodically but I lack knowledge on the DME logic - what signals it needs, how to confirm them, how it controls LPFP, spark & injectors. Tearing my hair out!

The throw on the gear selector looks really good. Is that the Dinan short shifter kit? First start was really good, the cranking that you did prior to starting, was that to build oil pressure? Well done this build is looking good. The n54 is really loud with no exhaust. Also howcome no A/C?. Was the the customers choice? Well done once again. E30 s62 chillin' like a villian in the background. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next video

I am also super upset that no AC, but thats what customer wanted. (I bet he'll regret soon) specially when it hits 100+f
@psavel2744 жыл бұрын
Dinan has been known to simply use BMW OEM shift levers from another model that has a shorter throw and paint/ engrave they're logo on them. At least they used to... Sounds pretty good. Are you planning a big single mandrel bent exhaust with V-bands? Or are you going to do a dual rear section like a stock n54 has? I think a single 3.5" or 4" with a quality straight-through res, and muffler is the ticket. It'll definitely give you the best sound and gains. If you do decide to do a dual setup, an X-pipe should be mandatory. Increases the scavenging effect and will kill some of the rasp. What type of hard candy are you eating? I prefer jolly ranchers.
@tommymaddox67854 жыл бұрын
This car was never equipped with AC, and probably lives up in the Northeast US somewhere so it's not that unreasonable.
@Garageaholic4 жыл бұрын
@@markovvoz8849 Yeah, maybe a retrofit one day perhaps?
@Garageaholic4 жыл бұрын
@@psavel274 Actually, we're going with a 2.5" dual to a single 3" with a resonator. I am going to attempt pie cuts to make my bends and the muffler will be a magnaflow single in, dual out. Should sound pretty good! Candy? I was eating some skittles actually! Very astute lol!!

Congrats Frank, finally! Got a question too. Did you ever swap an N63 (V8 4,4L twin-turbo) in an old BMW chassis? Or isn't that possible because of turbo clearance left and right? Stay safe, Dutch regards, Nico.
