Only thing I struggle with in these videos is the kids are so good I don’t see how you translate to a true grass roots club.

I agree, but i suppose you just make the session easier in accordance with how good your players are. I.e give them more space, simplify the more complex rules or give them more time to play and coach smaller improvements over more sessions (instead of hitting a topic over 3 sessions, focus on different parts over 6). For me if my players weren't capable of this kind of ssg I'd work with them in overloaded practices away from the game to get them to understand why they move to receive in different ways

Liked some of the games played in this session and individual challenges given to give players problems to solve. I did think at times though Matt’s use of words can *force* the player in possession into making a decision, ie shouting finish several times or saying the word score, developing players to show composure and bravery when on the ball is key to the growth of young players having an positive impact on the game moving forward, some good session ideas throughout though. Thanks for sharing, looks like a really good session. I wish they would go to a grassroots club for these videos and work with the players and facilities there. My reality of this would be on a bumpy grass surface - sometimes without goals - and with players that can struggle to kick the ball more than a few yards.

Guess they are still Working on the ball mastery skills but you want to introduce some concepts of space and movement right I hear ya. But yeah when half the players still struggle to receive a ball it changes things!

interesting use of tagging players in the session. Overall it took a long time to actually get to the content as in the title of the session as there was three parts to this session.
