It’s incredible!! I tried these on the pitch and I was literally the best defender in yesterday’s match! I was unstoppable. A simple change in body shape and arm out did the trick for me

This is brilliant, such simple concepts but so affective to defend. Body-shape, timing, patience. Taking attacker out of their comfort zone delaying them or forcing a mistake.

As a LB I have to force him on to his strong foot(right) in that case what should I Do

Trap him in the corner dont make him cut..best thing he can do is cross the ball which you can also block if you're properly defending him

Why does the defender let the attacker play with a comfortable foot ?

Because if you are too close as a defender, he has a better chance of blowing right past you

@@relaxingnature6766 yeah I’d prefer my defenders to force the attacker onto ‘their’ weak foot, rather than prioritising the defenders strong foot. Most times you don’t actually need to tackle so the focus should be on interrupting the ball carriers preferred decision.

Too many interventions, have to let players explore by themselves

False. Research deliberate practice. Best way to develop is to attempt a skill followed by immediate expert feedback. Or you think that kids learning soccer will naturally figure all the body position, timing, etc out on their own? How long would that take them to come up with?? Plus it’s an edited video. You don’t know how many times they let them play through afterwards.

sure, that would work in a country where the kids can play 8 hours a day during the summer, and 5 hours a day after school. no so much with countries where kids only have 1.5 hr practice three times a week max...

@@jpg7616 Mate, even st pro level; young players are still figuring these things out. What's the urgency with kids?

@@arsenalogist4285… I didn’t say there was urgency with kids. Where did you get that from? I’m just saying there are concepts that are impractical to find when “exploring by themselves” The coaching that you are mad about will accelerate learning and help them play better. I’ll say it again - look up the science of deliberate practice. People of any age get better faster with feedback from experts than just doing an activity.
