My daughter loves mangoes too. Our Nam Doc Mai looks like it's going to give us our first year of harvest and if all goes will it will be plenty too. It seems to hold much more mangoes than our Brooks Late, which is also very tasty. Good luck with your tree. Got one nice big one but not sure if I should pick it yet. Waiting for a little more yellow I think. Can't Wait. I have never eaten one yet.

Great to know, my family only eat sweet fruits. So we bought the right tree...yay. From research, it’s a dwarf tree perfect for container grower like me 🥰

how is it compared to Harum Manis mango?
@GreenMangoes2 жыл бұрын
I haven't had Harum Manis yet, wish I can find some. However I've heard they have some similar attributes, sweet, fiberless, tropical aroma, ans strong flowery smell. If I ever come across this mango, I will certainly make a review.

@@GreenMangoes I grew up in Indonesia eating that Harum Manis variety which is the best kind and the most expensive usually. You can smell the mouth watering of the fragrant of ripen mango and tasted delicious. I was wondering what Nam Doc Mai tastes and smells like.

@@jkbc I have eaten a lot of varieties and Nam Doc Mai smells really flowery and tropical. Super delicious, ever since your comment, I have been looking for a Harum Manis tree to grow, I live in Las Vegas, USA if you have tips where to buy a Harum please let me know.

@@jkbc you correct, most nursery and growers won't ship to California

What tree would you recommend for a 2nd floor balcony?
@GreenMangoes3 жыл бұрын
Where are you located and what type of climate? My balcony doesn't have a cover so I would plant anything that can handle full sun and in pot. For fruit trees, pomegranate, citrus will be fun to grow in balcony.

@@GreenMangoesthanks for your reply. I'm moving to North Las Vegas. Balcony will be facing east

I eat the skin on my carrie mango, but I don't like the skin of my nam duk mai.. The skin on mango has more nutrition than the flesh.
