This 5-part series will change a lot of peoples playing forever. The ease you have in finding ways to illustrate these concepts is matched by your delivery production and passion. We're very lucky to have you. Well done Brian 🙏🏻

Man, thank you. I've been learning seriously for almost a year now and I've only learned through KZbin videos. There are some good teachers on here for sure, but your stuff is just solid. It's clear, it makes sense and I can follow along well. I just wanted to say thank you. You've helped me a lot with learning the CAGED system!

Thank you so much for this five part series Brian. I turned it in to a five week intensive study for myself, spending a week with each lesson. I took notes during each lesson, writing out the chords and scales. I also created a Google slide for each lesson with linked jam tracks. My knowledge of the fret board has increased tenfold. Now I will continue to go through them and make more connections. I can’t thank you enough. You are an amazing teacher. Cheers!

This series has been unreal. As someone who learned power and barre chords, your connection of those to CAGED and showing the connections has taken me so much farther! Thank you!

My head is spinning alright - in a good way! 😵💫 So much useful and FREE info, so incredibly generous of you, Brian - although the best experience is being a premium member, of course! 💯💕

Brian, that soloing you did in the opening of this lesson rocked!! Your fingers were on fire!! Thank you sir. I'm enjoying your course. Especially, the recent series on going thru each CAGED chord and all the associated patterns within each position and how they all interconnect. Thank you so much for what you do!!

This is a really helpful series. It's a good roadmap for studying and practicing -- something to come back to regularly. And as a bonus, the blues jam in the D Shape lesson is super sweet. Look forward to working on it. Thanks, Brian.

Thx Brian. i find your lessons really helpful. the whole setup (for premium members) is fully comprehensive. have and am still getting alot out of this mini series on the CAGED system. there is so much in there and your breakdown is what really helps. im new to the channel so have a vast library to delve into. this language of music (played on my choice of instrument = guitar) is a tough challenge and im not able to speak it yet but with your knowledge playing and teaching i think i can make progress in learning to talk music. thx again

Thank you so much❤ On 4:20 you say to play strings 4-3-2-1. I think that should be strings 5-4-3-2.

Great lesson, D shape hammer-ons sounded quite fresh to my ears, perhaps not as overused because the chord shape is not as movable. Am disappointed there aren't move shapes to learn 😎 as this has been a great series. I am now as you say forcing myself to try out the different paths, so will be trying D shape in minor once I got this lesson down. I'm recognising how the 5 patterns of the major scale relate to these shapes, wish they had more memorable names than just 1..5.

Hello Tim I would Recommend you learn everything thing in one KEY ..key of A at the 4th to 7th fret is a good place to start.learn the5 positions of the A Major Scale . A method called chunking is very useful. Learn the notes on the E,B strings 4_7th fret and when you know them without having to think about them to much add the G string notes You get the Idea. This method applies to all the other Scales.

The evolution of guitar players 1) I play my solos in the same position pentatonic scale 2) I want to break out of being stuck playing my solos in the same position by learning the other pentatonic positions, scales and modes 3) Yay using the caged system i can play my chord changes in the same position
