There is no doubt that these audio books are fantastic. Christopher Timothy has done a fabulous job in recreating all if the characters in this wonderful anthology. It's now April 2022 and PBS has a new All Creatures series. It is fantastic beyond perfect. Perfect actors, excellent stories, and very creative interpretation from the source material. Rachel Shenton as Helen is the best casting decision in film history. I cannot wait for more seasons. It has just dawned on me that All Creatures has been one of the greatest joys of my life!

I wish I could like it but I just can't. I also wish that preferring the old 70's/80's series didn't make me feel like a big old 'Boomer' (especially since I'm not; I'm a GenX'er), but what can I say? I guess it's just a matter of what you're used to.

Just finished this audio books series and was impressed to tears. It just doesn't get much better than this All Creatures series of books. I have the Robert Hardy All Creatures on DVD and after finishing up on these other audios, may treat myself to that treasure of vintage BBC series. Could not be more satisfied of what I have experienced and am excited about new material 😍

I’m at 1 hour of part 6 of The Lord God Made Them All. I’ve been listening to all the books in turn and still have a way to go. I’ve disagreed with those commenting about ‘the nice music between stories’ as I find it un-necessary and quite irritating. But just now, perhaps it was at 59 Secs, the music BLARED out and it woke me up. I’m furious because I’m in bed very ill for a very long time, I cannot sleep, but have found Christopher’s story telling so soothing, that I do eventually sleep while listening. I simply drop off. Then have the pleasure of rewinding, later or the next day, to find the spot I fell asleep, to catch up. Tho I LOATHE the ghastly adverts interupting SO frequently. But - to be woken up by what is definitely the loudest music in all I’ve listened to so far, is truly awful. Often, it’s the lovely tinkling TV theme music. But this was SO loud!! Please, please, re-do this part and remove this music. Or at least, for very quiet music. Please…….

Some of the music I think is on the cd. Whereas they might have music in other audiobooks and maybe one or two of these so they can produce without getting deleted because of copyright.

You can pay KZbin a subscription fee to avoid the commercials. Commercials or subscription fees are how KZbin pays the bills.

"Why would you do this?" (I added the punctuation since you couldn't even be bothered with that much). What an ungrateful little BABY you are. Someone put in all the trouble to upload these so you could listen to them FOR FREE, and all you can do is whine about "horrible" commercials. If you use that word for commercials, what would you call 3rd degree burns on 95% on your body? I'm glad the uploader clarified that they did not "do this" to you, and I would add that unlike television, you have the option of reaching your lazy hand over and hitting the Skip Commercial option, or get a frikkin FREE ad blocker so you don't even know which videos have commercials. But most of all, you should be ashamed of yourself. Grow up and get some gratitude.

Both of his kids wanted to be vets but everyone discouraged his daughter back in those days. She changed to become a people doctor from the pressure. Her Dad regretted it in the end.
