Thanks for running through the updated logic compared to the previous WBPP. Makes sense now that it’s been explained.

Absolutely amazing tutorials Adam thank you. How did you obtain those “blurry” images for the Orion Nebula? Reminds me of the Alyn Wallace starglow filter.. it’s beautiful.

If you are referring the wide angle constellation images... I used a Tiffen Fog filter.

I have a set of DSLR images where I left the position detector on, during imaging session the camera switched from landscape to portrait mode and rotated about half of the light images. WBPP did something different with the portrait vs. landscape images, but not quite what I would expect. I could export all the files to tiff for this image set with the correct rotation (but that would let something like adobe camera RAW do the demosaic operation). I am working from Canon CR3 files currently. Is there a way to adjust this in pixinsight - or as part of a batch import? I can share the image set if you have interest.

I thought that PixInsight ignores the orientation (it did for my CR3 data). Under the Format Explorer there is an option to load pure RAw which also selects "No Flip" (which I think is orientation). I don't know what would be different with the portrait ones. This is a good question if you can show the difference for the PixInsight Forum.

You certainly could do an Image Container and rotate the images with FastRotation

Thank you Adam for your great tutos and I am testing WBPP2.1, but I woud like to receive your opinion as after combining (Dark, Bias, Flats & Lights), I have strills on the picture. I took 215 shots of 14 sec on a Dobson and a DSLR Sony A7III Astrodon and I use an UHC filter. These Strills are enoying as I have to darken the image to hide this default and also I loose detail on the target at the same time. Would you an idea where this would come from? Thank you in advance for your help. Thierry

Wow... I understand you needed the short exposure time because you were using a Dobsonian telescope- BUT, the behavior of the sensor might not allow a clean picture with so short exposures- I am guessing they are very noisy. I have not used the Sony A7III before- and without looking at the picture- I really can't guess. Sorry... (I am assuming "Strills" are lines of some sort...)

@@AdamBlock yes correct I mean with Stills are repetitive lines across the image or on other target there are circles. Strangly I did not have this effect on Pix version 1.8.8-6, this is strange If interested I send you a picture, only if you could be interested... Thank you Adam
