I called and spoke with Susan Spear for 45 minutes. (Ms Spear is the reporter who wrote the article). I asked her where she had gotten her information for the article. She admitted to solely getting it from her son in law. Apparently he was part of the towns people who partook in the harassments. Since, I had watched it live I explained to her what she wrote and what I watched were not the same events. Even told her how she could see the posted live feeds on YT. In the end, Ms Spear blamed the Nelsons for all the misinformation because she said the Nelsons had not contacted her to give their side of the story. But Nelson had given email info for setting up meetings. Ms. Spear put zero effort into gathering information for the story apart from her getting info from her son in law. She is old as dirt and has been a reporter for decades. I was surprised she actually put up with me accusing her of lacking professional ethics. She did zero research to gather the facts and ended up becoming part of the bias and prejudice that is the justice system in Rockingham County and the City of Madison NC.
