I am considering this field. I was trying for PA and then PT but the waiting is killing me. I work in the ER and sort of burnt out after 18yrs. At 55 years old I'm looking for a field where I can pretty much not burn myself out. I have a BS degree but my GPA is too low and that's the reason why PA and PT school aren't giving me a chance.

@@MissCosmicKitty hey Kate. I’ve been working in ultrasound for 20 years. I really hope more people take ergonomics seriously. Most of the techs in the field are young for a reason. It’s one of the reasons why there’s such high job demand. This job is tough both physically and mentally. I’d argue that it’s actually impossible for both which is why you rarely see any techs that stick to the career for more than 10 years. It has an extremely high wash out rate. Channels like this one are usually made by people early on in their careers that haven’t experienced most of this for themselves yet.

Can I ask a specific question? My interview is next week and then aptitude test on 3/11. The test will cover some 3D spatial ability testing, and a little bit of physics. Do you know where I can get practice with the 3D spatial ability? As far as physics, what do you think would be the most helpful to brush up on.

Hi, I’m a nursing student currently in my sophomore year at a 4 year college. I’m thinking about switching to an ultrasound program at a tech school. Would my two years of prerequisite transfer over to the tech school? Would that make that program shorter since I’ve taken a ton of prerequisites?
@KristyDMS

That’s something you’d ask your advisor! Make sure those credits are transferable. If those classes are the same as the prerequisite for the sono program then sure! But that’s not always the case
